Now that everyone has seen their team's schedule what are their 12 toughest opponents?

UConn

Stanford N 11-17
Maryland H 11-19
UCLA A 11-21
Michigan St N 11-25
Notre Dame H 12-3
Depaul A 12-8
Oklahoma H* 12-19
S Florida A 1-6
Texas A 1-15
S Carolina A 2-1
Louisville H 2-12
S Florida H 2-26

* Mohegan Sun Arena is technically a neutral game but .... Rolling Eyes

5 home, 5 away and 2 neutral games

Stanford

11-10 Ohio State - a
11-12 UConn - an
11-24 Gonzaga - an
11-25 probably Ohio State again - an
12-3 Baylor - a
12-21 Tenn - h
dates for P12 games not announced yet but presumably we play
UCLA h & a
Ore h & a
Cal h & a
If we don't play UCLA or Ore twice then insert whatever other P12 team rises to the top.

so 4 home, 5 away, 3 neutral - I'm thinking if we come out 6-6 we are doing pretty good, 8-4 would be awesome and exceed my expectations.

5 home, 6 away, 1 neutral

* Dependent on both teams making the final game of the Gulf Coast Showcase Invitational - should that not happen, I would replace ND with USC's home game vs. Kentucky, which was a toss-up with the home game vs. Missouri, but lost out because I think without Epps anymore Mizzou rates a tougher opponent in CLA. The UK game in Lexington however will be very tough.

Idk about dozen but for Uconn, Cal, Maryland and UCLA over 5 days including 3 different gyms and traveling east to west coast is pretty rough.

There are some tough opponents here, but I'd say So Carolina has the toughest schedule of those listed so far.

JMU plays a pretty punishing OOC schedule for a mid-major. I'd say our most formidable opponent will be Florida State. Also on the schedule are Tennessee, Villanova, Dayton, Rutgers, St. John's, and St. Joseph's. In between, we (hopefully, anyway) get to kick around Liberty, Bryant, Wagner, and either Vermont or American. The biggest conference foe, as ever in recent years, will be Elon. Charlotte Smith seems to have our number and those games have been battles. She's building a fine program down there, and I'm just wondering how long it will be before someone steals her away.

I Think that Texas game will be there best match up this season. South Carolina's guards as usual will lay an egg and lose by 15+.

Scar could easily start out 0-3 . Depending on shepards status for ND. Maryland is always a tough out , Duke always seems to take the gamecocks down to the wire also .

Seriously, did you mean Washington or Washington St?

Now that the Pac-12 schedule has been released, we only play the LA schools once. Now that the UW schedule has finally been released...UW is also reporting that the Dawgs return just 6 letterwinners--two fewer than I was expecting. This is going to be a really long season.

It will be interesting to see which of Wazzu and OrSU step up to contend. I'm thinking OrSU may be the better of the two but maybe that's just that we've gotten used to the cute lil gnome getting a lot out of his team. [ ok I admit 'cute lil gnome' is sexist and not at all PC even if used affectionately]

Washington has a long row to hoe. Can they even beat a slightly improved Arizona?

Washington finished with an RPI of 10 last season, and OSU finished with an RPI of 4. Their Sagarin rankings were 6 and 14, respectively.

I guess I'm a little skeptical that either team will suddenly turn into dog poop this season. Take a step back maybe, but not instantaneously morph into excrement.

Rueck has proven his greatness as a coach and developer of a program. Wynn's LBSU played them tough in the tournament and that's about all I can say at this time about that. UW loses Plum, Osahor, McDonald, Romeo (at least this season) Collier, Corral and Kelli Kingma (injury). In other words, every starter. Of the remaining players, only Johnson and Henson averaged over 10 minutes a game. The two active seniors are former walk-ons. Strother and Johnson are their only active juniors. Wynn brought along her 2017 LBSU recruiting team but whether or not they're Pac quality remains to be seen. 2018's top players are not considering UW although some good players are. It looks like not only will UW be bad this season but also for a few to come at the very least.

This is obviously not Wynn's doing since Neighbors did such a weak job of developing the program past Plum/Osahor but she will be the one who has to prove herself the way Rueck did.

Washington lost 4 starters (maybe all five?) and their best bench player. Barring a miracle, they are screwed blued and tattooed. What's up with Romeo? I assumed she was back? Not that that would make a hill of beans in the overall picture. I think Washington finishes in the bottom three and could well be the basement....maybe one of the biggest crashes in a program history.

Well, that would definitely be an incredibly precipitous fall. I guess we'll see.

Colorado's schedule is hugely disappointing to me, so I refuse to do them.
