There’s already at least one, but I’m not sure anybody cares that much. You’re probably talking about the group of 6 or so heavy hitters.
You’d rather be all in on the 2019 draft than improve your status slightly for 2018?
I’m still feeling a trade of #4 in 2018 for your first rounder in 2019. Do it Randy. You know you want to. McCoughtry and DeShields are a Dream team. |
We know McCowans out.
Barta In Early Declaration
Collier ?
Stevens?
Mabrey?
Jennings?
Martin?
I know im forgetting a few fill free to complete the list.

Diamonds Big Brother had an exceptional opening day with the rangers! Keep in mind the ballpark in arlington where he plays for the texas rangers is less than 10 minutes away from college park where the wings play . #FamilyConnections

If Dallas keeps Powers,I would draft Williams,Billings,Brown,Canada,or Russell.
If Dallas trades Powers,I would draft Deshields or Vivians.
Not a fan of Nurse. She has a history of coming up small in the biggest games.

No way in hell dallas gets rid of powers unless she forces it. If anything drop KCK for #4 and draft a wing & a post at 6

In my last mock I had the Wings with Russell and S. Thomas so
Diggins/Chong
Gray/Davis
Christmas-Kelly/Powers/S. Thomas
GloJo/Thorton/Akhator
Cambage/Russell
my flip/flop rounds would be Deshields fall to #6 Mavunga falls to #18 and you have a Tarheels reunion
Diggins/Chong
Gray/Deshields/Davis
Chritsmas-Kelly/Powers
GloJo/Thorton/Akhator
Cambage/Mavunga
(This also assume Plaisance is suspended for the season.)

Not really feeling the Thomas pick. Id rather go Scaife (of course) or possibly Muldrow.

I agree S. Thomas is a little redundant at that point, Scaife was still available on my mock so you can pencil her in if you prefer. Only half joking what about one of the talented (but small) PGs? McCarty out of Texas could make a decent back up/back up PG, or M. Williams and Dallas doesn't need anymore size.
Diggins/Chong/McCarty or M. Williams
Gray/Davis
Christmas-Kelly/Powers
Johnson/Thorton/Akhator
Cambage/Russell
(I was joking, but based on what they have it kind of works).
But even better would probably be Atkins falling to #18
Diggins/Chong
Gray/Davis/Atkins
Christmas-Kelly/Powers
Johnson/Thorton/Akhator
Cambage/Russell
Yeah that is the winner.

No way. They should look at Goodwin, William, Buss or McCarty for that pick.

This is just too much drama on one team...
1.There's only one basketball.
2.How long before we hear Davis' Mother on Twitter complaining out her daughter's playing time ?
3.How long before Diamond says "I should be starting"
4.Dallas needs Cambage to be a 15ppg scorer.Hard to do that with Powers,Christmas, and Deshields on the same team.
Dallas should be focused on building a Championship basketball team, not stockpiling the most talent. The wings need more role players/specialist,not bench players who think they're starters/stars...I want Diamond on the wings as a starter, not a bench player.

This can be said for teams like LA , Minny ect. Seems to be working out pretty well for both. Stockpiling talent can never be a bad thing , these are professionals. Any personal issue they have they can deal with it themselves or work elsewhere.

Terrible comparison...The Minn/LA players have a history of sacrificing stats/playing time for the betterment of the team. This remains to be seen with Dallas Not to mention the mood swings of Glory,Liz,Diamond,etc...
Coach Williams will have his hand full...

Sounds like you’re hoping DeShields will be gone by #6 so the Wings aren’t in a position to have to make a choice on DeShields.
But weren’t you saying you wanted Vivians, which isn’t a whole lot different other than she is capable of hitting a three.
The Wings are in a nice position to trade. The most attractive trade proposal I’ve heard is Spooner’s #10 + Stokes for #6. I think Spooner was feeling overly generous that day, but if the Wings were to get a proposal like that, they should jump on it and jump quick.
Christmas for #10? Powers for #10? Let’s get something going here.

1.Vivians is a catch and shoot type of player.Diamond is more ball dominate.VV is the perfect fit offensively. However,Diamond's the better defender and all round player.Passing on a talent like DD could come back to bite Dallas in the long-run.
2.How will Diamond react to coming off the bench,or being the 5th/6th option on offense ?
3.The #10 + Stokes for #6 would be a great trade for Dallas.

That quartet alone is enough to make any coach earn his pay. High maintenance (definitely for the first three, maybe not for Skylar though appearances suggest ...) and high ceilings make for a long but potentially rewarding season.
And then conceivably DeShields? Fred will welcome every stop in a state where marijuana is legal ...

I hear ya but I would substitute Davis with Powers. Davis is meek and chill and Powers is anything but.
Powers was recently released from Fenerbahce(sp?) but not sure on the details.
Might have to update later.

Davis is included due to her mother , and Please dont start rumors on powers without knowing the facts 1st if you dont mind . Lets also remember Fred use to coach Lori Ann im sure he has a degree in managing attitudes .

What appearances suggest Skylar Diggins is "high maintenance" and how are you defining "high maintenance"?

Powers and Kizer were both dropped by Fenerbahce along with their coach. In Powers' case, she played terribly in their deciding game amid rumors of a disagreement with management.

I think they value EuroLeague the most, so if they failed to advance to the Final Four, why keep paying so many expensive Americans.
Maybe awhom can weigh in on this?

What is "high maintenance"? An interesting question ...
From a coach's point of view, there are some players who show up, work hard, deal with setbacks and only occasionally require a heart-to-heart conversation to stay on track. These kinds of players don't worry about their teammates or the media, though of course they want to play the minutes they want to play, and do the things they're best at.
To put it another way, they will respond somewhat to logic -- "You're shooting 25% and Allison's shooting 40%, so she's playing" -- and understand that, for the coach, what's important is the team.
A high maintenance player is one that has to be talked through every up and down, and every transition. She has to be assured that Allison isn't freezing her out, and that yes, that bruised ankle could easily be the cause of her poor shooting, but once it heals, it will all be OK. And yes, I yelled at you in practice the other day because you didn't defend the pick-and-roll the way we need to do it -- I know your other coach did it differently -- but you've made that mistake several times, and I just wanted to get your attention. Etc. Etc. A couple of times a week.
As for Diggins, she obviously is a person who cares a lot about her appearance, and those kinds of people tend to focus on what outsiders think of them and how things look to others -- and those people are more often high maintenance than those who just focus on getting their job done within the organization.
I have no idea if Diggins is high maintenance from a coach's perspective, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.
