Liberty might start a winning streak now if their D continues to be strong.

It is the time of the year when they typically do.

Just as long as the streak ends with the last game.

I was crucified for saying the liberty could go on a big winning streak. Glad their fans are finally believing it as well.

If they play D and rebound like they did Wednesday they’ll win their fair share. Tomorrow is a good test in terms of Chicago being the kind of offensive team that has hurt us this year with the perimeter game.

Defeat is a state of mind;
No one is ever defeated until
defeat has been accepted as
reality.

Liberty, looking to build off close win, host Sky

Close games are not the forte for Chicago (7-14), which allows a league-worst 88.2 points per game. Ten of their losses are by double digits, including Friday’s 88-72 loss at Washington. |

Maybe the Sky often lose big, but their 3 games against New York have all been decided by 4 points or less.

Chicago scored 197 points against us in the home and home, a pretty unreal amount. Also, I wouldn’t say NY has had really strong defensive games back-to-back all season.
However, I thought their attention to detail was much better on Wednesday than we’ve seen. I think today will reveal a few things in regard to whether we can expect that type of effort on a more consistent basis or not. Heavy 3-point shooting teams have proven very difficult for the Libs, especially in this stretch of 3-10 in the last 13 games. Let’s see what today brings. I know winning the way we did Wednesday gave me a proverbial shot in the arm. Perhaps it will do the same for them.

I don't see the Liberty going on a long winning streak. The league is more stronger than it was just a season ago.

It's a 34-game season. New York has played 20 games thus far. The team's longest winning streak is TWO games. Exactly once. Anything is possible We can hope that the Liberty get the #8 seed and upset everyone in sight to win the WNBA championship. But I will be shocked if this team has a long winning streak this season.

I’m in one-game-at-a-time mode right now. I need to see defense on a consistent basis before I think about anything else.

FWIW when talking about a few thousand seats, there are no seats left on Ticketmaster outside of a few available for a promo code. As far as sales, it appears to be a sellout.
I’m still not believing that 5,000 freebies were given for MSG games.

Diamond was clearly fouled on that missed layup.
New York has gotten away with shyt load of contact.

And 2 for 2 on layups!
That was a fantastic opening 5 minutes. The Liberty played smothering defense on all but three possessions (and the Sky were only 1-3 on those possessions). Fouls are lopsided against the Sky.

1.Starting Hartley over Boyd...Hartley is a combo guard, and should be coming off the bench...Boyd has greater upside as a PG. |

Crossover dribble, drive and finish by Tina Charles. She is just amazing--she can do it all.
Deshields seems to be the only person giving the Liberty defense any problems so far.
