It was pretty clear, once she delayed her declaration due to the smoke issue in the Bay Area, SU was her choice.

Judging by what I saw on Twitter last night, there were a lot of noses severely out of joint over Haley Jones' choice. As one of my favorite WBB Twitterers put it, "A kid chooses a school based on fit, which is the most important factor. Nothing more needs to be said. #mindyourownbusiness" There were some pungent comments following that about adults sticking their noses into a kid's decision.

Haley is a Bay Area girl getting a good (Catholic) education. I pretty much expected her to choose Stanford and stay close to home. "Nuf said.

You know what I think is really notable about Haley Jones is that when the first Prospect Nation recruiting list came out the Summer after her Sophomore year, she was ranked #24 in the class. Then by the start of her junior year, she was #14 and then she cracked the top 5 and now she is the consensus #1. That's pretty darn impressive and I don't recall any other #1 recruit making such progress over such a short period of time.

Oregon State got what was said in an article to be their highest rated recruit ever: #18 Kennedy Brown. But she is 6’6” and OSU has 6’7” and 6’9” freshman. Someone is going to need to transfer. The success of the two OSU posts that ended up getting drafted must have OSU as a great place for post players.

Supposedly Kennedy believes she will be playing SF .

The missing players are always mysterious with ASGR, but #61 is Marquesha Davis (Arkansas), per the Hogs' commit list in the post ranking SEC classes.

Nenna Lindstrom, 5'7 G, Makalenrinne Sports HS, Helsinki, Finland, commits to Liberty.

Liberty has been having a problem in recent years getting foreign players to stay more than a year or two.

And 6'9" Aquino will be playing PF and SF . 6'7" Morris and 6'9" Mitrovic will play center. With shorty 6'3" Taylor Jones switching between Center and PF.

It's kind of the same situation Oregon was in until the bigs sorted themselves out and several left.

Dlayla Chakolis, 5'8 G from Minnetonka, MN (Hopkins HS) signs with Hampton. Along with previously mentioned 6'0 F Alayna Townsell from Overland Park, KS, and another 6'0 F, Nylah Young out of Kings Fork HS in Suffolk, VA, that makes a nice recruiting class for Coach Robert Six. I look forward to seeing them this fall as JMU generally plays Hampton in the OOC season and it's our turn to host them.

Mitrovic seems fairly skilled, and a nice get for Scotty. Miss Grymace is still there, right? How does one fairly utilize all that height? Shocked

UConn has added Anna Makurat a 19yo 6'sg from Poland. Anna started for EuroCup team Arka Gdynia, which includes former Northwestern star Nia Coffey. Makurat will play this coming season.

It's turning into an interesting off-season for UConn.
