Sadly, I have to agree. The odds say that a girl who goes to Tennessee will not improve as much as a girl who goes to UConn, Notre Dame or more than a few others.

But they still keep coming, so that staff is doing something right ... and maybe Horston will be one of the lucky ones.

I don't blame her for not going Ohio State after watching Hart at OSU for the past 4 years and getting worse in 4 years. She got better each game as a freshman then slowly went backwards.

Weren't Louisville fans considering both Davenport and Blackwell to be iron-clad locks for Walz?

With a little more than 3 weeks until the early signing period, 16 of the top 100 for 2019 are uncommitted; the WBB Blog chart lists finalists for 13 of them. Newly listed is unranked GA center Rita Igbokwe. - Raoul (via Twitter)

Three JUCO commitments to Division I schools for 2019, with analysis from Brandon Clay (Prospects Nation):

Ricka Jackson of South Georgia Tech commits to Texas Tech
MY TAKE: Jackson is a slashing option on the perimeter. She showed that she's a willing attacker off the catch to the rim. Jackson is also a legit option as a defender. In that regard, she was one of the best available wing prospects in JUCO this season.

Georgia Gayle of Northwest Florida State commits to Central Florida
MY TAKE: Gayle is a big wing standing right at the 6-foot mark. In this evaluation, Gayle showed on a loaded Northwest Florida roster that she can consistently shoot the outside shot. She has the size, ball handling ability to play either wing position and possibly some "small ball" as well.

Blessing Ejiofor of Chipola College commits to West Virginia
MY TAKE: At 6-4, Ejiofor has size that can't be taught. She is still developing her skill set on both ends but is one of the more physically gifted post players in JUCO basketball this year. She'll get plenty of reps to prepare for Morgantown by manning the middle this season for one of the country's premier programs.

PostPosted: 10/27/18 10:01 pm    ::: UVA Tina Thompson Got 2nd Commitment Reply Reply with quote

Virginia Cavaliers got a commitment from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia named Meg Jefferson. Not much information about Meg Jefferson except that she averaged 14 ppg and 7 rpg for 2018 NSW Metro U18 league.

This is 2nd commit for Tina Thompson. The first one is Carole Miller.

Sure hope so! Would be nice to see Tara get a championship again before she calls it a career.

Very exciting but it will come down to who can pick up the defensive and offensive schemes.

Jefferspn is a multi-purpose threat on both ends of the court and is the reigning PA Class 4A player of the Year. ihttps://lancasteronline.com/sports/highschool/girlsbasketball/lancaster-catholic-senior-girls-basketball-standout-kiki-jefferson-picks-james/article_c537d814-dba0-11e8-9c8e-373276647d87.html

As in will it work for them to be in the lineup together? I hope so! If Nneka and Chiney could play together I would think Belibi and Brink could too.

I am little surprised - Samantha Brunelle was slated to be No. 1 - what drops her to No. 10?

She has simply not played that well for the last two seasons. Perhaps she came close to her peak very early ...

She also was not #1 on every single service.

Currently, she is ranked 5th by Prospects Nation, 4th by Blue Star, and 4th by Collegiate Girls Basketball Report (and 10th by ASGR).

Based on her skillset, Notre Dame is a perfect place for her, to maximize her development under Muffet McGraw.
