The nominees are the Top 14 players in ppg that have played in at least 31 games in the season. In the 34 game era of the WNBA, no MVP has ever played less than 31 games in a season.

The nominees range from 19.9 ppg (Stewart) to 14.9 ppg (G Johnson).
All previous MVPs have scored at least 15 ppg.

Notable players that didn't make the ppg criteria are:
C Gray 14.8 ppg
A Thomas 14.8 ppg
Dolson 14.5 ppg
J Thomas 14.2 ppg
Sykes 13.9 ppg

Notable players that didn't make the games played criteria are:
McBride 30 games (she may have fallen through the cracks in the previous polls)
Griner 26 games
Delle Donne 25 games

Meesseman missed both criteria with 14.1 ppg and 23 games played
