another review for glory are y'all fucking serious that was not an unnecessary swing.. how many techs does she have for the season
soon nobody gonna be able to use their off hand for anything these WNBA reviews are B.S. this season |
She might be less likely to pick these calls up if she'd stop hitting people.
That call for the off-arm flail has become pretty standard at this point, even if that one looked a bit soft. |

its funny how gray seems to get pulled for attempting bad shots yet her sub powers take the most crazy attempts or shots the ball EVERY TIME she touches and gets to stay in

I thought Skylar fouled there when she reached in on Prince.

Skylar definitely fouled there. Impeded body didn't touch ball. Absurd non-call. Glad it didn't cost us the game.

Well that was an anti-climatic ending.

This game was way too close. Sugar was terrible. Overall shooting was bad. Maybe a week's rest is what's needed.

I only just realised this game was on. Wasn't it originally listed at 4pm ET like most of the other games today? |
A while back I'd written down the game time as 4:00 p.m. on my calendar. I was surprised days ago when I saw 2:00 p.m.

Good thing about an inconsistent player like Sugar..is when she's down..you know she's gonna be coming up.
I wouldn't be surprised if she has a good game in the playoffs. And Hartley and Prince have been pretty consistently good for a while now.

Yes it was originally either a 4 or 4:30 start.

Quite interesting that Bill Laimbeer went all out for this game. I've wondered for days if he would, how much he cared about finishing 3rd vs. 4th, how much he cared about finishing on a strong note vs. extra rest for Charles and others. Some had speculated that he might not even bring Charles to Dallas. Instead, she played 31 minutes despite foul trouble, Prince played 31 minutes, Hartley played 29, and Zellous played 25 despite foul trouble. Laimbeer obviously played to win.

They're going to get a week off anyway, as much home court as you can get and avoiding the Brit/Diana monster is probably on his head too.

This all makes sense. I wasn't certain he was going to go all out today, but we now know that he did.

When you've not lost for a month, I think you really want to keep that rolling into the playoffs. Winning can become a habit just like losing. So with the time off coming anyway you try to continue the streak. Might've been more about that than the 3 or 4 seed. |

I'm kind of glad they had to scrap right till the end in retrospect. You could see that they lost a little of that "edge" in these last two less meaningful games. It's not an end-all be-all for a game a week from now. But each of the last two years, they went into the playoffs not needing to place emphasis on the end of the regular season. They lost the first playoff game they played both times. I like that right up until the end the reminder is there, as Herb Brooks once said, that they are not talented enough to win on talent alone.
