I think even with their short bench right now, I wonder why the Sparks have both Gruda & Diarra on their roster?

I think it's time for Bill to finally sit Tina.

Big win for New York. Advantage we got a tired Sparks team today. Happy to see Prince & Zellous step up big time.

Why did Gray get so timid after a hot start?

Nice win for NY! It's good to see others step up and not have the weight of the game fully on Tina. LA definitely looked tired and sadly seemed to have a good 10-15 minutes of energy in the tank. Hopefully these ladies get some good rest and get Essence, Williams or both back soon!
Definitely interesting to see Cappie at the game. I suppose she was just in town or maybe was scouting for their game on the 18th? We don't think there is anything else to it, right?

Liberty are now 1.5 games behind Washington for the #4 seed. Now we need help from LA on Wednesday.

One thing that can't continue to happen is playing Tina 38-35 mpg. Gotta get her most rest. Maximum should be 32 minutes per game. Probably only happened since they don't play again until Friday.

Agree. That and I think they really prioritized this game. At 15-12 you've got a shot at 4 seed. At 14-13 that's probably all over. And, this was the best opportunity we could have had to beat LA. Extended road trip, thin bench and overtaxed starters.

I know Ekunwe isn't Tina, but she really does some nice things and gives great hustle when she's on the floor. I'd love to see her get a few more minutes and give Tina the rest she needs. I'd like to see some of the benchies (besides Sugar) get some time with 4 starters instead of generally using them like a platoon. Kiah still looking surprisingly bad. About all she does these days is come in and give up a few fouls. But Piph was way better today than she's been lately and Hartley is trying to prove me wrong in my assessment of her worth to the team. I wonder if part of Sugar's problem is just confidence. You can see her relax a little when a shot actually goes in.

Just as expected, the Sparks lose because Bill Laimbeer & the Liberty don't crap their pants and play like a bunch of scared 2-year old boys who are afraid of monsters and don't know how to play basketball, like the Lynx do whenever they see the Sparks.
