I think even with their short bench right now, I wonder why the Sparks have both Gruda & Diarra on their roster?

Big win for New York. Advantage we got a tired Sparks team today. Happy to see Prince & Zellous step up big time.

Why did Gray get so timid after a hot start?

Nice win for NY! It's good to see others step up and not have the weight of the game fully on Tina. LA definitely looked tired and sadly seemed to have a good 10-15 minutes of energy in the tank. Hopefully these ladies get some good rest and get Essence, Williams or both back soon!

Definitely interesting to see Cappie at the game. I suppose she was just in town or maybe was scouting for their game on the 18th? We don't think there is anything else to it, right?

Liberty are now 1.5 games behind Washington for the #4 seed. Now we need help from LA on Wednesday.

Thank god we get the MSG broadcast for this game. I was nervous we would get Mary Murphy Laughing

I just love Julianne Viani, she's not a maniac homer like other TV broadcasts. she's very Knowledgeable knows the game

Libs are 1.5 games behind DC now, DC plays LA next. its possible we could end up in the 4th spot, but how the team been playing all year i see 5th or 6th

One thing that can't continue to happen is playing Tina 38-35 mpg. Gotta get her most rest. Maximum should be 32 minutes per game. Probably only happened since they don't play again until Friday.

Agree. That and I think they really prioritized this game. At 15-12 you've got a shot at 4 seed. At 14-13 that's probably all over. And, this was the best opportunity we could have had to beat LA. Extended road trip, thin bench and overtaxed starters.

To anyone who went to the game, what the heck is that giveaway we received? It looks like something that holds ID -- like a very big name tag. Or maybe it's a dual train and bus pass holder that you strap on one of your limbs. A garter with a big ID pocket? Seriously, WTF? Laughing

yeah I looked at it and tossed it back In the bin LOL

Incredible game

Z was the woman of the match...as good as Tina and Piph were...every time the Sparks flexed their muscle and started a comeback the rally was shut down by a Z shot...or Z drawing the foul or getting the big play...big time game for her...

needed Piph to come out and do great and she good but then Rodgers was crap...maybe they just don't mix it happens...but that's for the off season.

As for the impact GAME CHANGER...now we're talking a legit path to 4th if we want that (that's another thread)

I think we control our own destiny Now given how many teams we have the season series over...wherever we wanna go we go...now CT and Minny ahead so not easy but just to get one of these 3 should set us up well.

We passed it up because there was a traffic jam at the escalator, but it looked like a cell phone holder armband.

I know Ekunwe isn't Tina, but she really does some nice things and gives great hustle when she's on the floor. I'd love to see her get a few more minutes and give Tina the rest she needs. I'd like to see some of the benchies (besides Sugar) get some time with 4 starters instead of generally using them like a platoon. Kiah still looking surprisingly bad. About all she does these days is come in and give up a few fouls. But Piph was way better today than she's been lately and Hartley is trying to prove me wrong in my assessment of her worth to the team. I wonder if part of Sugar's problem is just confidence. You can see her relax a little when a shot actually goes in.

It is indeed a cell phone holder/armband.

For those who immediately left after the game, you missed out on the charity basketball game featuring Justin Bieber and a bunch of New York D-list personalities.

Just as expected, the Sparks lose because Bill Laimbeer & the Liberty don't crap their pants and play like a bunch of scared 2-year old boys who are afraid of monsters and don't know how to play basketball, like the Lynx do whenever they see the Sparks.
