Watching and catching up some stuff that I stored on my DVR. One of them was an ESPN E:60 segment about Brittney Griner that was aired last month (July 23). Haven't finished the entire segment just yet.

The first thing on my mind that troubles me is.... Why is Kate Fagan commenting or doing segments on the WNBA?

I read a previous thread from several years ago, and she has said that she herself is admittedly not a big fan of the WNBA even though she loves women's basketball. That's her right and prerogative to not enjoy the league, but why does she looks so uncomfortable about commenting on them?

Is this still current? That was a few years ago, and things can change. I have a lot of friends that were non-fans (or were outright critical of the league) a few years ago that are huge fans today.

If she's changed her mind for any reason other than her own job security it would be nice to hear her reasoning.

Why shouldn't Fagan do a story about Griner, regardless of her feelings about the WNBA (and I have no idea what they are)? Fagan is a former Colorado basketball player and one of the best female sports commentators in the business. Her book, "The Reappearing Act," about her struggles as a gay player on a team led by several born again Christians seems rather on point for a story about Brittney.

She was simply wondering aloud in the article why she wasn't a bigger WNBA fan, having played 4 years herself at Colorado. And people here were like OMG BURN THE WITCH! Rolling Eyes
