Clarendon's triple-double last night vs. Phoenix in OT marks just the 6th time a player has recorded this task during the regular season & the first one in three years.

Deanna Nolan (Detroit Shock) vs. Connecticut; 5/21/05 [11 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists]
Sheryl Swoopes (Houston Comets) vs. Seattle; 9/4/05 [14 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists]*

As I mentioned on Twitter last night, this one may well be taken away (just like at least three others we've seen in recent years). Two of Clarendon's 11 assists were clearly made by other people.

So it depends on whether the league cares enough to check, and whether they can find another assist that she wasn't credited with elsewhere in the game. All 10 rebounds were pretty reasonable, funnily enough. That's often where they screw it up.

Still pissed the league took away Tina's triple-double while playing for the Sun back in 2011.

Taken away or not, I'm sure she'll get another the way she's playing. Idea

Either way, it feels good to see Clarendon like this. It seems like just yesterday I met her at a STH function at UC Berkeley.. Cool

The one last night only featured two, easy-to-make mistakes that no one would've noticed if it didn't result in the triple-double later on (Clarendon had hockey-assists on swing passes that were immediately entered by someone else to the scorer). That one by Charles was an absolute joke, and wasn't even close once you looked at the tape. They pretty much had to take that one away unless they wanted to admit that no one ever paid any attention in the WNBA offices.

The MIP award this season is going to Jonquel Jones. Clarendon is clearly the runner-up though.

She's improved a lot since she left Indiana. I'm glad to see it, and to admit I was wrong since I was really down on her when she was with the Fever.

I don't think they correct box scores in the NBA any more, though I could be wrong. And if they don't in the NBA, they won't in the WNBA.

Good grief! I had a feeling this was going to happen....

Still great game for Layshia! She is definitely coming into her own.

Kind of amazing that the player that looked like a train wreck in her rookie year and almost waived in the 4th season is now doing this well. #thereishopeforladyplum.
