Response to Seattle Storm-Planned Parenthood partnership positive, co-owner says
Quote:
Trudeau said the owners felt “fairly confident that our core supporters would continue to support us and would be actually pleased that we were doing this.”
For the three women who have owned the Storm since 2008, that assessment has appeared to be right. Some proceeds from Tuesday night’s game against the Chicago Sky will support the nonprofit that provides reproductive health care. The idea has sparked an “overwhelmingly positive” response, Trudeau said.
...
Trudeau said this was something the owners felt was important to do, and outside opinions couldn’t outweigh that.
“We understood that we would get some negative feedback from some groups,” Trudeau said. “But we were willing to withstand that.”

Timing is good with the failure of Obamacare repeal that included the one-year ban on PP funding.

Watching the game on mute: has there been any acknowledgement of the rally?

And on the other hand, Seattle only missed 2 shots in the first quarter. It's hard to push the ball like Chicago wants to when you're constantly pulling the ball from the net. Only a 4-point game now.

Your Chicago Sky leading scorer at the half: Keisha Hampton.

Seattle desperately needs a starting center, and upgrade at small forward.Langhorne's a poor defender, and weak defensive rebounder.Clark can't hit a open jumpshot under pressure, and lacks size at SF.Both players are excellent role players. But starters, they are not.

Seattle has the 3rd worst defensive rebounding percentage.

Me beating the dead horse.

She's a trainwreck on the court too.

I'm not convinced this Storm team is any better than mediocre. They have no depth, no size, and can't take care of the basketball. It puts way too much on their top 3 players to produce every night; if one of them isn't hitting, the team struggles.

Cappie has stated she wants to end her career in Chicago. So Sky fans can stop wishing for a trade.

Coach Stocks deserves credit for going back to a more conventional lineup.

Congrats to the Sky for a solid road win.
Seattle haven't managed 2 consecutive wins since May (which I guess you could call the first trimester of the season to date)

I still wonder if the Sky can possibly make the playoffs over the likes of Dallas & Seattle.

Chicago had few wins, needed overtime to beat San Antonio and then lost to San Antonio. Then they had 7 days off. And Cappie got hurt. Now they look like a playoff team.

I've always liked the team better with Tamera Young starting... Maybe Pondexter can come off the bench. Boyette and Parker need to turn the corner the team to go to the next level... Copper looks nice so far. Idea

What was the trade? Question
