Will Griner and Taurasi care about this game? If so this game could get ugly very early.

Taurasi has looked off. Only taking one shot in the first half last night isn't her normal.

Wonder if VJ will be in her "player development mode "again tonight. If so it will be another blowout I'm afraid. When your starters play an average of just 19 minutes, as they did against the Sun, I would predict that your chances of winning the game are slim to none. I wonder at this point if VJ has a clue as to who the starters should be. I guess if you are just in "player development mode" it doesn't matter. Wonder at what point, if ever, she will switch to "team development" mode.

I think Plum would have a better chance at a big game if she didn't know she would be called upon to play a big role. She's seemed intimidated thus far this season.

Maybe if she starts. But VJ was using Colson at the point and Plum at the two last game and she may start Colson, with McBride at the two this game and Montgomery at the three. But that will be something if it happens as it will make the #1 pick a 3rd string point guard.

Wonder why SAS was in such a hurry to waive Brunner. Roster now at 11. She played 2 minutes in game with the Sun. Maybe VJ and Ruth are working on some blockbuster trade and need that roster spot. Always really liked VJ as a player but maybe they could trade her. Is that possible?

Contracts became guaranteed yesterday. The team has more roster flexibility this way. They may bring Brunner back on a 10-day.

With VJ only on a one year contract, I would hope she would show something this season to be around next season.

I think the only thing she can show this season is her player development skills, as they are missing too many pieces to compete in this league. She inherited a fairly bare cupboard. The only worthwhile players are young (McBride, Jefferson). Hopefully someone else young will show more promise. Izzy was a good pick-up. The jury is still out on the 2 rookies (Plum and Coffey) and Hamby has her good days and bad days. Their starters need to show more, and I'm not sure the talent is there.

Izzy is a keeper. Alexander should be their starting center. DeSouza should retire. Hopefully dos Santos shows up next season.

WNBA does 7 day contracts -- not 10-day.

Nice pre-game hug between old buddies Taurasi and Plum.

4 minutes in and we've already had two 4-point plays

I don't know about that bending way over that Plum is doing when she is dribbling running the point. It looks like a shooting guard position - getting ready to drive, ,not a point guard position.

Scratches head. Um.... Some of these calls have been confusing. The 4pt plays were good calls but some of the screens haven't been offensive at all and that's both teams.

Tech in the 1st half already

Kelsey needs to do a better job getting around screens, or communicating with her teammates on those screens.
