The owner that moved the Shock to Dallas is sitting courtside for this game.

Evelyn Akhator is in.

Lisa Borders interview coming up. They talk about how loud it is and she refers to it as "intimate". The upper level is closed off. If that reduces the capacity by 1/3, that would mean they have 4,620 seats available.

Big Sly should have been called for that 1st time she knocked Thronton down. Sly has the right name Fouls!

I hate these friggin in-game interviews. Adds zero and detracts a lot.

I did find it interesting that they said Akhator sent money home from her college scholarship! If true, that sounds like an NCAA infraction of some sort.

That was my initial thought too but I think they get cost of attendance stipends now. Probably not more than $5k.

I HATE these interviews. They talk about how basketball is the same whether it's men or women playing, but then they interrupt WNBA games all the time to talk about crap while MISSING THE GAME. They don't do that in men's pro sports, but they do it in Olympic coverage. Focus on the game!

These Texas broadcasts are tough with their Whataburger commercials. I am ready to go buy one, but no Whataburger in my neck of the woods.

It gives Borders more chances to call it an entertainment league tho.

I laughed at her saying that people come and enjoy themselves, while everyone has been bitching this year about refs, reviews, and not fun. Laughing

I'm just happy that they didn't further torture us by keeping the camera on the interview. That is THE most infuriating thing ever and I have to admit that I yell everytime! lol!

Maya can sometimes make the most boneheaded plays in her drive to compete.

Come on Maya. Up by 14 and now only up by 7.

One positive, 18 assists on 21 field goals made for the Lynx.

I wish they would've done a video montage for Nancy so folks could really understand who they are seeing and hearing.

I love how she is encouraging the crowd to support the team!

Especially that crap that the ref's called at the LA/Merc game! 10 fouls on the Merc in the 1st qt. I saw at least 4 fouls that Nneka committed but no fouls called. Sure the Merc deserved SOME of the fouls they had called against them but certainly not ALL of them.

Yeah, a little college, a little WBL and a little WNBA.

She sounded like a good candidate for WNBA president.
