I've been done with him for years.

So it doesn't bother you that he just casually tossed out the n-word?

I've certainly seen far more egregious transgressions from entertainers and politicians alike.

But, on a personal level, I've been done with him for a long time. I personally dislike the way he gets all puffed up when he wants to trash somebody and goes on a rabid rant--but NEVER to their face. I think he got beat up a lot as a little kid.

Yeah, not a personal fan, but I'm not all upset that he still has a job. Sometimes I agree with parts of his rants, but it's certainly not how I would (and do) choose to communicate.

I don't get HBO, so I don't watch his show.

But I still miss his previous show, "Politically Incorrect", when it was on Comedy Central in the 1990's. I preferred that version over the time when it was on ABC.

Bill Maher can be incredibly on point sometimes.

But he can also forget his white male privilege at others, and I don't think he completely understands the problem with it. He also has a tendency to take his reasonably good points too far.

I'd say the larger problem is that our country needs comedians to be the voice of reason.

You've 100% nailed it there, IMO.

....and I'd say the above statement is the more profound part of her quote. Shocked Laughing
