Thanks, I figured it might've been something like that but I lose track of all the different rules for different leagues. Bit surprised that a team like AGU Spor have enough in the budget to sign a bonus foreigner that means one is always going to be sat on the sidelines during domestic games.

For whatever reason, Turkey is one of the places where I always remember the rule. The other one I know is that Israel only allows three foreigners. I think that Russia's rules do not allow UMMC or Dynamo Kursk's full rosters because they've never dressed all their foreigners in the same domestic game, which will lead to interesting decisions in the playoffs.

Having a 5th or 6th foreigner is not that uncommon for the Turkish teams in multiple competitions. The dropoff in domestic players past the elite few is severe and there are only so many naturalized Turks to go around so the foreign players are relied on heavily and rotation helps.

That was their first game after arrival.

Yeah, I know, although Handy again played a bunch of minutes and was productive in their league game at the weekend (nice to see her producing at a pretty high level). Lacy doesn't appear to have played in that game, but I have no idea what the reason was. Hopefully she's not injured already.

This time Handy was less productive, although she looked better on floor overall than Page's double-double. She's quick as hell and Page seems to be a threat only from deep. Maybe I'm a bit biased because Page missed both FTs with 1.5s remaining when trailing by 1. But I liked that very much obviously Laughing Tolo was pretty much single handedly controlling the game for 38minutes hitting everything, dunno what's with Marginean, she seems to have lost all her offense.

No Lacy either in this game so I guess an injury is possible. They did field five foreigners and get eliminated, so now they have six foreigners for a league that only allows four.

Kizer 1st player preparing to leave China for lack of payment and suing for full salary. It's a shame the players have to deal with this nonsense.

Bummer. Shandong hadn't fielded a foreign player last year and I wonder if that is due to money issues. She'd also been posting about friction among the team with a losing streak and that she just found out she was playing with a broken hand. Sylvia Fowles has just gotten to Beijing which means that Imani Stafford would also be coming back.

I see Beijing now lists Fowles. Does this mean Imani is out? She wasn't putting the epic numbers that Yelena or Henry were, so wasn't looking too good for her.

She was always meant to just be keeping the seat warm until Fowles was ready to show up. They generally didn't let her play the max minutes like other foreign players, just getting enough to win games. It worked because they are already the top seed and Fowles finishing the regular season should keep them there.
