Some interesting dynamics. First off, Bill again mentioned depth as being a key in yesterday's sound bite, identifying it as a component that can be used to wear the opponent down. Which is something he's said enough times that it must be his true intention.

But obviously in order for that approach to be successful, you have to either keep the game close or be in the lead. Thinking back to some early season Libs performances the last few years, they've had early double digit deficits several times until they've stabilized their rotations each year. I think the first 5-7 minutes will be telling.

I'm excited I actually get to see this one ... uninterrupted !!

Libs can always go with : Boyd - Sugar - Z or Allen - Stokes - Charles , for stability and everybody doing the same things as last year. Lynx can counter quickly with Monty and Howard, to up their team speed.

Voting Lynx but hoping + expecting a nailbiter.

No points from Charles isn't good, but we're only down 5.

8 fouls in the first quarter isn't helping our cause.

Maya and Tina both scoreless in the 1st. Who would have guessed it?

I really liked what our bench brought when they came in. It would be nice to get Maya going. She hasn't looked comfortable or in rhythm at all, counting the Chicago game.

Luckily for us, New York is fouling a lot. Laughing

Why the hesitation to bring Charles back in? Stokes & Vaughn out there together? And Hartley looks lost out there running PG.

Libs have passed up at least three wide open shots. Overpassing. And if we aren't allowed to play post defense with basketball-related contact then we have no chance to win.

must have missed that. she's back in now. Hopefully the refs hide their whistles a little.

Liberty just can't get Tina the ball. When they can't, it seems like they're settling for a 3. Currently 4-10 from 3.

Sugar is killing us in transition. Run with and at her instead of going into the lane. She wants to shoot the pull up.

It would be nice if Maya could hit a shot. Confused

There is no way she would have developed like she did had she stayed in Minnesota.

Anytime I go to a game, I always hope those around me are into like I am. If not, I don't care. Typically prefer sections 107 & 108. For whatever reason those two sections always seem into the game.

Yeah no players that Minnesota draft develop there unless they are number 1 picks.. Laughing
Jones is probably better off with another team.

Well Boyd IS a fun energizer bunny to watch, and when her shots actually go in, fairly effective too. Though I think she woke the sleeping lion called Whalen in that last series...

Maybe the Lynx learned from that mistake, which I hope they did.
Tan White, who the Lynx signed after giving Sugar away, averaged 17.8 mpg in 2014 and contributed almost nothing, so Sugar Rodgers could've gotten those minutes just the same (I know Monica Wright getting injured contributed to those minutes).
Lynx got lucky they got Montgomery and Perkins for nothing to somewhat make up for that grave mistake.

And yet they have done a great job improving both Howard and Fowles' game.

Ultimately, this is a team trying to win now so developing rookies is low on their priority list.

One of those situations that would've worked much better in a different sport. In soccer, they'd have sent her out on loan to develop, and brought her back when she was ready to play real minutes for them.

ok unless bill is saving time to run the starting 5 in the 4th quarter - i do not understand his sub patterns....

even stokes a step slow is better than vaughn.
i can't understand why boyd just got subbed out.

So they are going to talk to Adam Silver during the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. Dumb.

The Liberty's best offensive line-up is Prince-Rodgers-Allen-Charles-Vaughn. Yet we haven't seen that yet.

They do this shit all the time. Like when we got Holly's 'feature' on Essence Carson's hats down the stretch of a close game. Ridiculous.
