You can still watch old Johnny Carson reruns on Antenna TV! Check your local cable listings.

Tonight, they will be showing a 1987 episode with Eddie Murphy and a then-unknown comedian named Ellen DeGeneres.

Midler sang that song because she knew it was Johnny's favorite. She also said that she never wanted to see reruns of that episode because it was simply a moment in time.

Midler later received an Emmy Award for that performance.

BTW, that was actually Johnny's next-to-last show, with Bette and Robin Williams as his final guests. His final episode show was actually a retrospective look back at his show.
