So just for fun based on how things have played out who would you say was your best and worst pick?

As of right now I give my best pick award to C. Gray LA at #59, runner up S. Dolson at #42.

And worst pick goes to Stokes at #22, runner up Christmas at #39.

My best would be Griner who I picked right ahead of Fowles, but now that Griner has been inured, should have picked Fowles.

Worst is Bentley. Missed a bunch of games and is now coming off the bench.

Worst pick for me was Erlana Larkins @ 29 Rolling Eyes
Alyssa Thomas, Brunson, Dolson and Lyttle were all available. I thought Larkins would be the rebounder I needed. Lol.

Best pick was Courtney Williams as an undrafted free agent. Laughing

SInce I had pick #1 and then not another until 19, Nneka is hands down my best by far. The problem is that, other than Prince who missed games for Euro and MoMo who is now out for the season, my other players have been pretty much a disappointment. I think MoMo at #40 was a great pick. But of course it's easy to look in retrospect and see all the players one left on board. Crying or Very sad

Plum was obviously a big gamble that didn't pay. I assumed Bay Bay would be somewhere back to her pre-injury self but that was also not to be. Both major mistakes. Between them, they totally wrecked my shooting %. Courtney Paris going out totally wrecked my rebounding numbers. I didn't expect a lot from Alysha Clark but she has been even less than expected.

With 10 of us playing, it makes it pretty hard to remedy mistakes. Though a couple of you made really nice free agent pickups I was too slow to take advantage. Anyway, glad I don't have money riding on this game!

Well done to you all at the 'top' of the standings.

Poop just came here to switch out Thorton for George but got beat to the punch.

Even more ironic I chose to play Christmas instead of Thorton the last two days and both time Thorton had better #s, but I'm sticking with Christmas on Sunday because if I switch it Christmas will have her best game of the week just to spite me.

ok I have been in trusting mode that you all would actually play your players according to their actual designations. Since I didn't notice it before I'm giving it to you Friday, but for Sunday you need to change her out. No way, no how is Erica Wheeler anything but a G. smh. Rolling Eyes

Erica Wheeler is playing in a 3-guard lineup with G Tiffany Mitchell, which make both Wheeler and Mitchell eligible for G or F. Idea

Here are just a few others that are and have been playing as a GF: Arrow

    S. Zellous
    S. Augustus
    S. Talbot
    T. Mitchell
    K. Christmas

Tiffany Hayes and Brittney Sykes should also qualify as GFs, as ATL is now playing a 3-guard lineup as well Idea

a 5'7" guard is not a forward regardless of how many tiny players a team has on the floor. According to the rules, it is up to the WNBA designation. A three player in the WNBA can be a G, an F, or an FG depending on how the team designates it. But as we all know, even when Indiana has three guards on the floor, Wheeler is still playing the PG position. If you want an exception or a rule change, we can vote on it...

I've played Christmas at both guard and forward because she is listed that way.

I've only played T. Mitchell at guard or U and even recently complained that I couldn't play her a game this past week because she did not qualify as a forward forcing me to choose between her and Stokes at U.

But looking at Admiral's line up is there a possible solution by playing A. Gray as a F, for whatever reason I can't go on the W site but I would think it possible she would be listed as both.

Sunday:
C: Paris, Dal
F: Nneka, LA
F: Montgomery, SA
G: Plum, SA
G: Prince, NY
U: Zellous, NY

A. Gray is also listed as a G and is definitely played at the SG spot. Admiral could easily play Sancho as his F.

Yeah, I thought about that too. But for now, I think I'll just replace Wheeler with Kayla McBride for Sunday as a compromise. Arrow

I didn't see your complaint about T. Mitchell last week, but if you took it on yourself to play her as a F, I wouldn't have had an issue with it. IND is using Briann January as the PG (and has been for 9 years), with the 2 SGs. A similar situation is in ATL.

The issue is, how strict of the rules do we want to play by now? For example, with just a cursory re-look at last week, I see that newkid entered a lineup a day after the big 6-game day, mysticsfan hasn't entered a lineup at all and both received points, and Lumes added Morgan Tuck and received points for her, even though Tuck has been on my IR since June(!). In short, I definitely won't be the only one affected by this change. Idea

G Skylar Diggins Smith, G, Dallas
G Allisha Gray, G, Dallas
F Kayla McBride, GF, IND
F Candace Parker, FC, LA
C Izzy Harrison, C, SAS

sigh...
So are we now going to call every guard over 5'10" tall a GF? That appears to be what you are asking for since even McBride is only listed as a G and she primarily plays SG. We can vote on it if you want.

I think part of the game is managing your lineup according to the rules and since this game is not about making money I expect people to either abide by the rules or make a proposal to change them. I don't want to micro-manage and if someone else wants to take over and deal with any BS as well as scorekeeping, I'm more than willing to let that happen.

I usually give people the benefit of the doubt on missed lineups a few times unless they are obviously trying to dildo the rules. I'm no longer giving Mystics Fan the benefit of the doubt and announced that at some point.

You are right about Tuck. I thought, and obviously Lumes thought, you had dropped her at some point. When someone picks up a player already owned, I assume the owner will object. Since you have now pointed it out, Lumes will need to choose a different player.

I know what you mean. I had Vandersloot instead of C. Williams the other day and Williams had the better game.
