They haven't worked out the trades yet. You would get CHI's second round pick. Connecticut gets ATL's second round pick.

Right, but I'm afraid Sky make the playoffs and we would end up around pick 17 anyway. Best we could hope for would be a decent backup PG, like Lindsey Allen (shame we didn't pick her up on waivers.) Not sure who is like that in this draft.

Thanks, Shades ...

This actually seems to make sense, and looks like a workable system. Tanking for two years in a row just to get a less-than-50% chance at the No. 1 pick doesn't seem like an optimum strategy.

It's workable, but I think needs one more tweak. Make it so the most recent lottery team to get the No. 1 pick cannot get it again. The same team getting, say, two No. 1 picks in a row isn't good for the league. History shows that the drop off from 1 to 2 is usually big, and that talent needs to be spread around.

Well if the wings miss the playoffs, they have the worst luck with the lottery ball, I bet they end up with the number 2 pick and end up taking Gabby Williams. I like Gabby, and I think she’ll be a potential star, but I would rather have Collier.

Just for fun cause I'm bored and like making lists no earlies, no lottery surprises

1. SA Wilson
2. Indy Deshields
3. Chi (via Atl) K. Mitchell
4. Chi G. Williams

5. Seattle Russell
6. Dallas Turner
7. PX Billings
8. Was L. Brown
9. NY Nared
10. Conn Nurse
11. LA Canada
12. Minn Vadeeva (or whoever Shades wants)

I keep getting the feeling that Agler would take Vadeeva, because what does he really need? He loves his foreign players, and TJJ and Gruda are easy to replace.

Just remember I don't want Greenwell in the first round. Second round, then we can talk. Wink

If Indiana gets the #3 or 4 pick.they should seriously consider trading the pick to phoenix for Bonner,Prince and the mercury's 1st rd pk.Trading January & Larkins for 1st rd pks/young players, should also be an option.

This is a good mock Spoon, Nared would be a good pick for the Libs to groom and develop into a solid SF. I think Lexie Brown will be available when we pick also I'm starting to have doubts about Sugar Rodgers but I love how she still hustles and plays good defense. So if they have any idea of trading Sugar, Brown would be a good replacement great shooter can play the 1&2 and plays good D

Maybe Cambage can let th wings know of her plans early on, the wings have a pretty good roster if they add Liz with 3 possible all stars. Liz and Glroy would be one of the best front court combination in the league, the wings could look into trading this draft pick, I can’t see a real need for this team, next year could be a great year for the wings.

You wouldn't have to throw Prince in there to make it an obligatory 3 player deal. Bonner is not a franchise player. I would jump on this deal if I were IND. PHX's pick is most likely #7. You get Bonner and only move down 3 or 4 spots in a deep draft.

Not too realistic here. January has made her imminent retirement be known. After this season it could be really imminent. And not too many teams want a short center nowadays.

I thought she already did. That's why there's Cambage excitement in the air instead of the usual "Cambage ain't ever gonna show up again" negativity.

And they both like designer bags, fancy cars, and foofy things like that, so they might actually get along.

They could always attempt to upgrade the front court, unless you're married to Courtney Paris, Plaisance, Shaqator, or Thornton. If they move Christmas, I'd keep Thornton as a tough 3/4.

this is fairly sensible - at least before we see the college season. I could see Pokey going with Deshields, but Indy really, really needs a true big. They have some pretty good guards/wings already if the injured return in form. And especially if somehow they end up with Bonner as well. Could Russell have a good enough season to go #2? I'm not sure.

I also suspect Nared will be picked up before #9.

Great detail Shades, thanks.

You know that silly tune arenas play, that goes: T-shirt Time, T-shirt Time?
The Sky need to remember a variant that goes: Tooth-ache Time, Tooth-ache Time.

Before I had Bonner going to Indy for S. Johnson (or Coleman) and Indy's 2nd round pick #14 (there should still be someone useful at #14).

If Indy wants a big there was a trade suggestion earlier should

Indy trade their lottery pick (assuming it is not #1 where they could grab Wilson) to PX for Bonner and PX's first round pick (#6 or 7) hoping they could grab one of three bigs that might be in that range (Russell, Turner, or Billings). Deshields in PX is a pretty interesting idea. I think she would actually fit very well with DT, D-Rob and Griner. And of course if PX wants a different look G. Williams would be another option.

On a different note who ahead of Nared falls so that she is taken before #9 in your opinion? If Nared is gone I think NY should take Canada or Nurse, unless Billings is still on then take Billings, Canada or Nurse, but I'm hoping we get Nared as I think she could be a great fit for us at the SF spot.
