How much of the South Carolina vs. Mississippi State national championship game did you watch -- and why or why not?

We ran this poll last season and some of the most interesting responses were the reasons why people watched none or only some of the game.

Personally, I watched all of it today, unlike last year when I lost interest for long stretches of the second half and did other stuff on the computer.

Part of that is likely due to media markets. Two small market teams in the championship. UConn is clearly great but because they are in the CT/NY/NJ media market it would help them draw well even if they hadn't won so many championships.

If a UCLA or other team in a big media market made it I think they would draw a lot of casual fans to watch, even if UCLA may not draw all that well in terms of attendance.

Watched it all. Good to see 2 SEC teams in the final and finally have a 2nd team win the title while a member of the conference (remember TAMU was pre-SEC). I also thought it would be a good competitive game. I've been watching women's basketball for around 20 years or so. Finally, I've been a fan of Dawn Staley for a while so I wanted to see her win this.

None. We cut the cord with Time Warner and the only TV we watch are events we can stream for free.

I watched every bit if it. I wanted to see Dawn and the Gamecocks win and they did.

I watched all of it (on a delay). Basically, I taped it on my DVR, went to dinner with my Mom, then came back about an hour into it so I could fast forward through the commercials and halftime. For the record, I often do this kind of thing, even with ND games. Wink

It was a fairly close game throughout. MSU couldn't quite close the gap, but they did keep coming within 4-6 points late in the game, which made it interesting.

Every last minute. I kept hoping Miss. St. would pull something off, but they seemed to have run out their string. It was still a decent game and not a blowout.

I watched back and forth between the game and LPGA event in which Lexi T was given a 4 stroke penalty for something that happened the day BEFORE and a viewer called in to tell the LPGA about it...

LPGA did now know about until she was on the 7th hole on Sunday and then was on the 12 hole of the final day (Sunday) of play when the LPGA told her coming off of that hole...the LPGA event and extra hole playoff was way more entertaining then watch the NCAA final game...

I said 'all' although I came and went a bit in the first quarter and a bit at the very end. And I didn't watch the half time stuff. Perhaps there should have been an 'almost all' option. I found it interesting, but not compelling.

It felt like MSU lost their mojo after beating UConn and VV was just flinging stuff up there with little hope of it actually going in. She's definitely one who can shoot you into games and can also shoot you out of games. I think she would be a frustrating teammate. McGowan wasn't up to dealing with Wilson, but then who is? And who knows wtf was up with Vic and Morgan.

Part of it (end of 3rd q. To the end of the game). With UConn out had only small interest in watching a slug fest Smile

Watched the last ten minutes. I don't have cable as it would be a waste of money. I don't stream, so I have to go out to watch pay cable. Saw the rest at Anytime Fitness while working out and riding cardio equipment.
