Okay, to be a bit more analytical, O has been averaging 74 points per game in the tournament. But they haven't played any defense nearly as good as UConn's. Moreover, only three teams all season have scored 70 points on UConn: FSU, 76; Maryland, 81; and UCLA, 71.

Therefore, I posit that O can score a maximum of 70 points.

Next question: Can O hold UConn under 70 points?

Only two teams all season have done so: South Carolina, 66; and Tulane, 63 -- in two successive games in February. Kia Nurse injured her ankle against South Carolina and didn't play against Tulane. UConn shot 41% and 38% in those two games.

So, if O can execute offense as well as UCLA did last game, and if their defense (or the luck god) can hold UConn to 40% shooting, O can win the game.

It would help greatly to put one or more of UConn's starters on the bench for long periods with foul trouble, preferably Collier and Williams. Geno will only want to play six players.

You may be right but Geno said in the post game that UCLA was just too quick for Butler but that Oregon is a different type of team. So we'll see. But I doubt she would get more than 10 minutes unless there is a foul fest.

I have a feeling this could be like the 2015 Dayton game where I want to hurl for 30 minutes.

Hoping Oregon's frosh start to feel the pressure of the moment finally. And hope the Ducks that should have lost to Temple show up.

And I hope Mr. Samuelson reveals that he swapped his daughters Samuelson and that was really Katie Lou playing in Lexington and Karli playing against UCLA.

Well, Morgan William had averaged 3.7 ppg for the tournament before going off for 41 against Baylor. Ionescu is averaging 16.7 for the first three games. If she has the same proportional improvement, Sabrina will end up with 186 points. I bet that would be enough to beat UConn!

William was only averaging 3.7 for the tournament?!?!

Kim Mulkey should be fired.

UCLA kept it pretty close against UConn. I don't see a repeat of that with this game though. I can see this game being a blowout before the half time Buzzer sounds. Hoping for a close competitive game though but I don't see it.

They're not playing bad defense. It's just their passing...

too bad they were playing Uconn. Uconn doesn't lose to cinderellas.

Oregon post defense, not awful. Post offense, not so good. Oregon might be relying on that three ball.
