Heartbreaker for her and the team.

Hope she has a speedy and full recovery.

Notre Dame's Brianna Turner out of NCAA tournament with torn ACL

Unfortunately, not a surprise, for it looked like the classic jump stop or two foot landing that so many of us have seen tear ACL's in this sport.

According to McGraw "She tore the whole thing." She compared it to what happened to Achonwa.

Oh boy. Having recently looked at the pre-op MRI report for my son-in-law, who just had his repair done a month ago, 5 years after the fact (insurance problems made it impossible previously), I can only cringe. His was ugly, to put it mildly...pretty much the whole deal, ACL, meniscus, and micro MCL--and he'd not only been walking around on it and playing basketball on occasion, but climbing cell towers, which is what he does for a living. With a brace, of course. Now he is doing amazingly well, although he still hasn't been cleared to play rec league ball. But that report made me sick to read.
