Everyone who can score the basketball was put in Bridgeport or OKC.

Don't tell Michelle Voepel.

What's with the audio on this game? Announcers sound like they're calling it in from a phone booth.

yeah, the audio is weird.

Cal is one of the most undisciplined teams I've seen. They take stupid shots. Make stupid passes.

Gotta be the coach?

Yeah, her Cal teams always seem undisciplined. It can work if she gets great street ball players. This year's team underperforms its talent level.

Cal giving up an amazing number of O-boards. That may end up being their downfall....among other things. Anigwe looking not so great as well.

On the lighter side, it's cute how this game is the battle of the baby bumps.

Wow, Cal gets a 5 second violation on the inbounds. LSU ball down 1 with 32 seconds left.

Cal tried calling a TO and the ref missed it. Nuts

Huge block by Anigwe. Cal gets the jump ball. Cal ball with 14 seconds left and holding on to a 1 point lead.

Cal may have won the game but the real winners are:

1. Sue Bird for non PC tell it like it is commentary.

2. LSU for getting to leave Waco.

3. The fans for the game mercifully ending.

Gottlieb is useless. Stood there like a deer in the headlights while her team couldn't get the ball up the court against the press. Blew the timeout call at a critical inbounds play.

And in so many respects Cal continues to lack fundamentals.

I'm sure she's a very nice person.

Eight seconds to go with Fargas and Gottlieb "coaching" their teams. I shudder to think what's being said.

One of the refs in this game was one of our most hated ones from the CAA (the short-haired blonde female). No mistaking her in the closeup. And just as bad here. She's referred to in the Convo Center as "the Nazi".

Just meant the post matchup, don't think Cal can hang with Baylor overall.

If Anigwe plays like this, Brown will make mincemeat of her.

Fargas has one year left at LSU and I think that'll be it for her. The coaching battle between her and Gottleib was painful to watch.

Anigwe always does poorly against larger heftier post players. At a Washington game, it was noted that she often went up against Osahor in high school and has never beaten her.

I thought about that "too expensive to buy her out" nonsense when IU paid $4 million to fire Tom Crean this week - a coach that won the Big Ten two of the last four years. And yet every time there's a bad women's coach everyone says "oh we have to let her contract run out because it would take two or three hundred thousand to buy out her contract".

So they let women's coaches who perform a lot worse than Crean hang around for years.

It's ridiculous.

LSU womens basketball lost more money than any other sport at the school. Even with a losing coach, mens basketball pulled a 2 million dollar profit. Womens basketball LOST almost 4 million. Think about that for a second. With that kind of loss, do you really think that an AD will buy out a coach and throw an additional 700K on top of the fire. Admittedly, the AD is the one who agreed to the ridiculous terms, but it makes zero sense, economically, to fire Fargas at this point. She has a strong recruiting class coming in and they at least got into the tournament, which was an improvement over last year, but she's proven she was hype, smoke and mirrors when she came from UCLA. I think when she's let go, she's not going to have great luck finding another coaching job because her price is so high and the results have been so lackluster.
