Arella Guirantes has settled on Rutgers. A prep McDonalds All American she played her frosh year at Texas Tech and averaged just under 10 points a game. A great pick-up for CViv. The transfer allegedly chose Scarlet Knigkts over the Buckeyes.

What is going on with the Buckeyes. 2 years in a row no players.

Yes. Siri over corrected again.

The ''Dores will have some serious height this year. It's not an experienced group so how well Coach develope these players and who emerges as the most consistent will be something to track this year.

But that trip to Japan and summer school mean she'll have to sit out a year. Not a good tradeoff IMHO.

Another departure from South Carolina. Arairon Bradshaw transfers to Dayton. The guard will have three years of eligibility left.

On a side note, is it time for the 2018 thread on Transfers , attrition, etc.

If you want to start one, be my guest...but I would make it "2017-18" if I were you. Just my $.02m since I started this one.

Not enough PT to go around, especially after more transfers landed at SC?

I don't really understand all this PG transfer business from ND or SC. A team needs more than one point guard! Don't players get that?

Well since she committed to South Carolina they added Tyasha Harris in the same recruiting class, brought in former 5 star PG Te'a Cooper and will bring in five star PG Destanni Henderson next year. Clearly the deck is stacked against her and barring multiple injuries she was likely not going to play. Its easy for us to sit here and say a kid should stay but they look at college as potentially their last chance to play high level basketball and some would rather take a shot and transfer to a school where they can play. Maybe if South Carolina didn't recruit another PG in her class she would stay?

Here's a proposal to change the transfer rules that, if passed, would make this thread the longest ever on this board:

http://247sports.com/Article/Sources-Major-Potential-Shift-In-NCAA-Transfer-Rules-107001121

Sources: Major Potential Shift In NCAA Transfer Rules

This could be the last nail in the coffin as far as maintaining the pretense that college football (or mens basketball) is an amateur sport.

Kinda off topic but Quentin Hillman is rebuilding his Syracuse team. He always prefers a large team and this year is no different. He has 17 players on the roster including five true frosh, 2 Jucos, and three incoming transfers including the NCAA scoring leader from 2015-2016. That's ten players who become eligible for Q this year. He also has tOSU transfer Kiara Lewis who must sit out this season. That leaves 6 players returning who actually had game experience. Of these So. Gabby Cooper is by far the most esperienced.l as the bulk of minutes went to now graduated Alex Peterson, Brittany Sykes, Isabella Slim and the Day twins.

Not sure exactly where this belongs, but Taylor Berry was awarded a full scholarship at Alabama yesterday.
