Or she's sitting out to rest like Diana Taurasi and Candace Parker. I'm betting the latter, since she announced her intentions. Delle Donne and Fowles made no such announcements, Parker and Taurasi did.

Or her Russian team paid her not to play. But if it is that she needs rest this year why won't she need it next year when she will be a year older. Hope I'm wrong but there is nothing to say this won't be the new normal.

Also, Delle Donne's and Fowles' reasons for sitting out were very different.
