15-13 Mocs at the end of the 1st quarter
The teams combined for three turnovers and two fouls in the quarter

ESPN2 now showing this ending. Wow, Mercer had a great chance. No timeouts though which is tough

Wow! Mercer had a great look for the win but they barely missed. They inbounded the ball so close to the baseline that I thought they had no chance to get a good look but they did it.

That was a hell of a finish, and I was pleasantly surprised ESPN cut to it during the game break (I had my finger hovering over the WatchESPN button on the tablet screen, ready to switch).

With a 10 point 4th quarter lead, I was hoping to avoid an exciting finish...

Heartbreaker for Mercer, but having lived up I-75 fro Chattanooga for many years, I'm happy for the Mocs and for Jim Foster, who is a class act.

That was a 2. The p-b-p called it wrong.

pilight, has Mercer ever been this competitive before? Tough loss, on such a potentially momentous occasion when you really wanna see a breakthrough.

Back in the Andrea Congreaves days they won the regular season TAAC title twice but couldn't win the conference tournament. Mercer also played in the AIAW tournament a couple of times.
