VV would drive me nuts if I were the coach.

Takes some bad shots, some of them go in. Seems to choose when to hustle, and it seems that's mostly when the ball is involved.

She should be better than she is, imo.

Overtime!

Rice has fouled out for UK. Dillingham has fouled out for MSU. William, McCowan, and Vivians all have 4 fouls for MSU. Morris has 4 fouls for UK and they have no depth. Walk on Mackenzie Cann has played 21 minutes vs. MSU. Impressive that after all the transfers out that Mitchell has a ranked team.

I agree. Mitchell has done a great job this year. But he'll probably lose SEC COY to Schaefer, despite the Wildcats' win tonight.

Kentucky wins. And since I'm dissing refs I'll comment on a call here. When Epps scored on the putback to put Kentucky up to stay she was fouled by McCowan without a call. MSSt played a lot of minutes with 4 players having 4 fouls and with none of them fouling out.

But the refs did make the right call on the travel call against MSSt on the next possession. If the refs in the SC-Tenn game had made that call SC might still be a one seed.

Fun game!

Ms St hosts the LVs next.

Kudos to Mitchell for not being a chickenshit re: senior night.

But didn't South Carolina benefit from the bad call at the end when they hosted Miss. St.? I thought that evened out the Gamecocks' karma.

Does the conference not schedule these games?

LOL I was just commenting on the officiating, not the beneficiaries of those calls.

MSSt has played 4 currently ranked teams this season. They beat 8Texas Nov. 20, lost to 5SCar 2 months later on Jan 23, beat 23 TAMU Feb 19 and lost to 22Kentucky tonight.

The fact that a team with 2 quality wins, one of which was to a team that is again losing tonight and may not even be ranked by Monday is virtually assured of a one seed is a sad commentary on the depth of elite-level quality in wcbb.

or perhaps a commentary on parity, which is a more positive way of looking at it.

Yeah, I'd agree with the increased parity theory. Especially in the ACC, SEC, and Big Ten. Those conferences all have such logjams in the 3-8 range. And the PAC 12 and Big 12 all go at least 4-5 deep in tourney probabilities.
