Lynx record since sucking and lucking into Maya Moore, despite having two other Olympians (one current, one future) on the team at the time |

Except the Lynx didn't actually "suck" for Maya. They were in it to the end for that final playoff spot against the Sparks. And that was while dealing with significant injuries, a new coach, and pieces that hadn't gelled yet.
But "luck" is definitely the right word here.

Hey with 12 yrs of a revolving door of coaches and players, that sucking was organic and not artificial thank you very much
And actually, thanks to Tina Thompson for putting the Lynx in position to be so lucky.
Funny, all things the same, but Tina misses that buzzer beater shot, vs the Lynx, Maya could have ended up in LA with a bunch of other Olympians on that team at the time. So Lynx lucky, darn skippy Maya's been pretty darn lucky too.

Before Maya they had a lot less wins and a lot less fans. Warriors of the dub.

People like to watch a winning team. Nothing new here.

Even more so in a still young sports league. Winning brings media attention which brings a higher profile for the team which helps put butts in seats and TVs tuned in.
