Terrible news. Gatlinburg, the most visited tourist town in America is burning to the ground due to out of control wildfires that have spread everywhere. Nearby Pigeon Forge and Dollywood evacatuated. I've vacationed in Gatlinburg 5 or 6 times over the years. Many homes and businesses destroyed as the fires are continuing.

those poor folks. saw a couple on tv who said they were notified so late that they only escaped with the clothes on their backs, literally. they said they had embers flying in their face, the fire was so strong they were fearful that their car's tires would melt before they could get out. its insane. my thoughts are with them all. Sad
