Realistically, CHW is not going anywhere if she keeps making the E8's. Sharrona Reeves is doing a tremendous job as the new recruiting coordinator. I think a new post coach would help as well. However, I don't think all of Tenn's recent decline can be put on the coaching staff. I doubt CHW is telling her players to miss layups and stand around flat-footed on defense. Just having a full roster so she can bench players who don't want to work will be a big step in the right direction as will the graduation of Deshields.

TN currently has really good players. Yes, two straight Elite Eights, but when was the last final four? Losing regularly to teams like Penn State and Va. Tech? Holly has for the most part underachieved with the talent she's gotten - why should 2017/2018 be any different?

You are simplifying it too much as if only a Final 4 matters. Maybe they recruited the kid the hardest? Recruiting is a lot about relationships, also you say Tennessee lost in the Elite 8's, its not like Massengill has UConn and Baylor after her, for all you know Tennessee may be the best team that really wants her. Or she has geographical demands and wants to stay within a certain radius of her hometown so her family can watch her game. Vandy fired their coach so they were going to be recruiting from behind for this class anyways. Look at it from a teenagers perspective, the facilities and all of the championships they have must impress a kid when they go on a visit. Let's not act like she committed to East Tennessee State or something which by your multiple posts sounds like you are shocked some top 25-50 recruit from Tennessee picked Tennessee.

Maybe she'll be better then Mulkey OU and the other tall kid from Virginia. Wasn't expecting her to travel across the Country to OSU.

She at least looks proportional - not like a stick or a lunk. Grymek looks a bit lunk like. Rueck will come up to these girls' waistbands, but if they buy into his system, he will make them both into players if anybody can.

Came down to Kentucky, South Carolina and Purdue. She wants engineering and claimed academics were very important. Um, ok. Kentucky isn't a bad school, but when it comes to engineering, it isn't even close between Purdue and those other 2. However, mom did play in the SEC and they live in SEC country so clearly basketball won out.

She also dropped Ga Tech just a week earlier.

I always enjoy these types of announcements. Academics are really important to me and I want to be an engineer, so I'm dropping Georgia Tech and Purdue and committing to Kentucky.

Ummmmmmm. . . .yeah, ok, congratulations.

Hopefully at least one of them can catch passes from Slocum and finish.

And none of them may play. It is hard to be coordinated/agile at those heights.

Not necessarily. I offer this example, even though I know it's guys and was a long time ago (60s). My NAIA college had a starting lineup that played most of the game of a 6'11 center, forwards who were 6'8 and 6'7, and guards who were 6'3 and 5'8. They won every conference game and lost the regionals by only 1 point. They were really amazing. The whole squad had 2 players under 6 feet, both PGs, and one of those was 5'11.
