Charlie Collier verbals to UConn.

Quote:
"After an overwhelming amount of interest from great programs across the country, I narrowed my choices down to Texas [and] Southern California before deciding on Connecticut," the junior at Barbers Hill (Mont Belvieu, Texas) said. "Coach [Geno] Auriemma and his staff are amazing people. Spending time with them and the team, seeing the chemistry that is there indicated to me that this was it.

Mykasa Robinson, a 5-foot-7 point guard at Paul G. Blazer (Ashland, Kentucky) and the No. 13 prospect in the espnW HoopGurlz Super 60, has committed to Colorado. Ashley Joens, a 5-9 guard at Iowa City (Iowa) and the No. 16 prospect, has committed to Iowa State.

Very interesting that a Kentucky kid chose Colorado ...

Maybe the West Coast pipeline to the East Coast can be reversed.

Her older sister, Alexis, is a sophomore starter for Colorado this season. She was recruited by our former coach, and I'm glad to see Coach Payne in her first season was able to continue the relationship with her family. Alexis is currently tied for second on Colorado in scoring and HoopGurlz had her ranked 91st coming out of high school. Landing the #13 recruit in 2018 is certainly a huge get for the program.

Not really surprising that a Kentucky girl chose Colorado when her sister is on the team. Wink

Buffs are also working very hard to land Cameron Swartz of Marietta, GA. She's made several unofficial visits of CU.

Also are working on Danielle Cosgrove of Farmingville, NY.

Spend time in Boulder and at CU and you'll see that it shouldn't be too hard to recruit coast to coast.

Chrissy Carr commits to Kansas State. Not a huge surprise since her dad is on the staff.

I was thinking that given the rise of the Pac-12 from the last of the football conferences, to now be considered the top by RPI, that less West Coast players were going east. But I guess there could be other explanations, like more talent on the West Coast than there used to be. Or more Midwest or East Coast players going west.

Don't understand how Tenn keeps getting these good recruits. They do nothing with them. Don't players see that?

Maybe because they see a great opportunity to play for a prestigious program. Plenty of room considering they don't have a very deep bench. Maybe they're pretty impressed with elite 8 appearances and wanna help get further? Maybe they believe in a plan to get TN back to FFs. Maybe they're looking forward in joining the 2017 #1 ranked recruiting class?

TN's getting the players to do just that. Those condemning Holly and staff are just joining the bandwagon of those who don't know squat about this team.

TN currently has really good players. Yes, two straight Elite Eights, but when was the last final four? Losing regularly to teams like Penn State and Va. Tech? Holly has for the most part underachieved with the talent she's gotten - why should 2017/2018 be any different?

Didn't Tennessee used to have a Massengale that some people would call Massengill? Surprised

Penn St put up a good fight against Maryland. Can't sleep on VTech. But I'm not sure Warlick is gonna get much better than she is now. If the fans love her I guess they should keep her.
