Maybe Taurasi can sell her on the idea, it's worth a shot, PX needs a jolt of talent to get past LA and Minny. Maybe Alba could think of it as an extended vacation where she gets to see America, party with friends, get paid, and play a little ball?

Eurobasket Women will take place in late June. She's said she prioritises the national team and rest/time with her family, so I don't see it happening.

Sometimes I wonder if her own coach knows who she is

How can you miss her? She's the one who plays defense.

Agreed. If not valued by the Mercury, maybe someone else where she can get some playing time.

The rights of Alba Torrens are held by CT.

January in Phoenix is something I've often wanted.

PHX under performedast yr when a lot of ppl thought they'd win it all. This coming season, I'm sure expectations are low especially since PT is gone. Taurasi will be a step slower. And Dupree and Griner had very lackluster seasons plus the addition of Kelsey Bone was somewhat of a joke.

So what do the Mercury need to do to get back to the top? I see them worse this summer than last summer.

Wonder what trade that could be.

I'm wondering what they consider to be a "blockbuster."

I would guess Dupree, since she was being castigated early last season for her productivity. She's also not upbeat, so I think more likely to fall out of favor or get sick of Taurasi.

How about a Bone trade?

If it's Dupree, I'm wondering if Bonner would be a part of the package. Now that would be blockbuster.

She has played with her for ages so why would she all of a sudden get sick of Taurasi Laughing

If Dupree is going anywhere then i see Bonner part of that deal. Maybe in some kind of deal to get Drob from the Stars?

I'm not sure why PHX would want to go the small route when they've had such success with being big. I don't think they can recapture 2009.

You could ask that same question to anyone who asks for a divorce after being married for ages. In Dupree's case, she didn't even have to like Taurasi in the first place in order to want to play for Phoenix. But I have no basis for thinking she doesn't get along with Taurasi, just doing some speculation, which I probably shouldn't be doing.

Thing is that the Mercury played better last season with Taurasi at her natural 2 position. Xargay is going to miss some time with Eurobasket so getting a speedy PG who can also defend pretty well isnt a bad idea..

So a trade could involve the Mercury getting a point guard? What about Bone to San Antonio for Danielle Robinson. Is that really a ''blockbuster'' trade though? PHX get's their point guard and Bone goes back home to Texas. Bone never seemed to fit with the Mercury last year anyways. She never got off the bench, and when she did, she did very little.

Plus, San Antonio doesn't need Robinson now that they have Jefferson and they really need a post player or two.

yeah, that was my first thought too. Blockbuster? Maybe.

Bone isnt worth Drob though certainly not after last season. Mercury would have to put something extra in
