The most interesting visualization to me was a comparison to the season to date to the regular season last year for offensive and defensive rating. Blue is offensive rating and red is defensive rating with positive for both being good and green is the change in net rating after combining the two.

It's kind of crazy how changes have affected Chicago and Indiana. Minnesota had an insane regular season last year, but they are even doing better this season. Also, San Antonio has improved on offense, but they are still terrible this year compared to every other team even with Chicago going from second best to second worst in one year.

Poor Indiana. At least with everyone else there a clear end where the main problem lies. With the Fever it's just everything falling off a cliff together.

When you lose the GOAT, I guess that's what happens.

Interesting that LA's defensive rating has tanked so badly. Supposedly Toliver was the weak link on defense. And now Washington's is up. (ok, it's not all Toliver, but still interesting)

Toliver's DRtg is actually the worst it's been since 2011. But she's looked fine to me defensively so who knows.

Maybe the GOAT in a Fever uniform, but not even close to the GOAT league wise.

I think a lot of it is that Beard hasn't pressured the ball as actively as last year. It might be something at her age that's hard to sustain. I do think, however, that Toliver was hardly a weak link last year.

Another factor may also be how close to the season LA's top players arrived. Defensive schemes could have taken longer to become fluid. Or simple fatigue could have been a factor too.

I have three different articles now that the regular season is over:
http://www.womensbasketball247.com/2017/09/2017-team-stats-update/
http://www.womensbasketball247.com/2017/09/2017-individual-stats-update/
http://www.womensbasketball247.com/2017/09/wnba-time-career-stats-leaders/

Here is the same visualization as above with the change in wins also noted:
