I don't know that she's got much left in the tank anyway. She played less than 15 MPG for Ekat over the winter and appeared to have lost a few steps when I saw her.

Agree...Alston I get just like Avery she works hard, brings energy to camp but she's just not that good.

I've hear it's Alston. She was reportedly at the game today.

Well, there goes my Lieberman theory then.

Alston - well I liked her in college. As a pro, not so much.

Wiggins could not get into any WNBA facility without the players trying to nail her to a cross and crucify her.

Yeah I think there is about a 98% chance it's not her

And we know there couldn't possibly be any exaggeration in your 98% figure. Smile

My guess is that Wiggy knows the exact three players who are straight, and she stands ready to replace them if one drops out. We need to keep up that 2% quota!

As for Lieberman, Powell, and Temporary Cap Hold, have they ever played 2 guard? Bill specifically said that the player is a 2/1.

Temporary Cap Hold is incredibly versatile and has actually played all five positions, but mostly is a 2/1.

It's rumored, though, that no announcement has yet been made by the Liberty because Temporary Cap Hold is temporarily cap holding out for a big signing bonus.

The Liberty are 3-0 since Lindsay Allen joined the team. 2-3 prior to her joining the team Coincidence? I think not.

You can give your girl some credit for the win against Atlanta. However, in her first two games, Lindsay was a combined 0-5 1 point, 3 assists vs 4 TOs. There's no way you can argue that's a significant positive contribution.

The major difference in the last three games for NY are Stokes and Zellous:

Stokes
First 5 games: 13 pts/2.6 ppg, 24 reb/4.8 rpg
Last 3 games: 43 pts/14.3 ppg, 46 reb/15.3 rpg

Zellous
First 5 games: 22 pts/4.4 ppg, 12 assists/2.4 apg
Last 3 games: 60 pts/20 ppg, 10 assists/3.3 apg

I don't think they plan for Alston to play many minutes, but Hartley gets into foul trouble and L. Allen just has 3 games under her belt. I wouldn't consider either player to be reliable. In the Dallas game, there was a point when Allen had 3 fouls in the first half and Hartley was already sitting for one reason or another. Bill sent R. Allen in to replace L. Allen, and he went with a backcourt of Zellous and Rodgers. That makes you start worrying about depth. Also, in the Atlanta game, NY could barely make a jumpshot in the second half. You had the desperation 3 by Sugar from about 10 beyond the arc, and L. Allen later hit a long jumper. That was about it. Alston is a decent outside shooter. If nothing else, she's a better shooter than Hopkins and a lot stronger on the defensive end. There's only an inch difference in height, but Alston is much wider and thicker. However, you do lose some ballhandling skill.

Does seem to make it less likely Wright is going to rejoin the team this season.

Yeah Hartley had a bad game, pickin up unnecessary fouls and her shot was off. I actually liked that lineup with Zellous, Sugar, Reb Allen, Bill should try it more often.

It depends. I always used to say in relation to Kara Lawson that if her body could only hold up for 15 games, it'd make much more sense to sign late and have it be the last 15 games (including playoffs) rather than the first 15. If the plan was always to have Wright play, but only for a month or two at the end of the season, then a dodgy start for a week or two wouldn't necessarily have changed anything.
