Awhom, do you know what happened to Jefferson on Galatasaray? I noticed she didn't play the last eurocup game either.

The combination of Twitter and Google Translate seems to suggest an injury of some sort. I feel like there would be more news if it was serious so I guess we will see over the next few weeks since Turkey has a crowded schedule due to the whole not celebrating Christmas thing (same in Israel).

It's so strange to see a Jillian Harmon led Lucca all alone in first in Italy. Granted, Lucca has a great core in Harmon, Pedersen, Wojta, Dotto, and Crippa.

Lucca was very good last year. Tied for best record. Harmon I believe got player or the year on the eurobasket site. Which was bs because Sammy was the best player in the league last year by far. But its not like anyone on that site actually watches the games and I suppose they don't give it to players on last place teams.

I don't know if it's the case for Italy, but sometimes that site hands awards on a strictly efficiency formula basis with no subjectivity. I think it would have been hard to award it to a player on a team that got relegated, even though she overwhelmingly led multiple statistical categories.

Jefferson played, but was largely ineffectual.

I don't know; I just know she didn't make 1st or 2nd team. And didn't even get guard of the year. She just got honorable mention despite putting up huge numbers with every teams game plan to try to stop her. Stupid. I'm thinking if the rest of her team wasn't like a JV squad and they could have been middle of the pack she would have gotten more recognition.

Sammy Prahalis has signed to play the 2nd half of the season for Miskolc in the Hungarian League. I'm sure she'll kill it, like usual Smile

There was a funny eurobasket.com moment earlier this week. A Mexican men's team had a Dia de los Santos Inocentes prank where they made a photoshopped announcement that they were signing Dennis Rodman (look up how old he is), Sun Mingming (plausible enough since he played for them even though before he is retired now), and Jamario Moon (actually plausible) and the site ran with it as actual news.

Good grief! That is crazy and unfortunate. How do you find a credible source?

Quick question: Any idea what happened with Stewart this game? Beijing definitely jumped on them but she only had 3 points, 3 rebs and played only half the game. I know folks have bad games but...hmmm...Do you know if something happened?

I'd also like to submit Tamera Young having 23 points and 11 boards in 3 quarters as proof that any American can dominate in China. Lol

She played her usual minutes in the next game. I would just assume that the big deficit caused her coach to concede the game and move on to the next one. With a fairly compressed schedule and the expectation that the stars play all 40 minutes in the big games, that seems to be sensible considering that they are in the playoffs no matter what happens for the rest of the season.

No fluke because she did it again in the next game. I guess that's Tamera Young in China production level. It will be interesting in the next game when she can play all 40.

Appel averaged big numbers in China. If she can do that anyone can

Jude Schimmel has signed to play in Spain. Could that possibly motivate Shoni go look for something overseas?

All of Imani Boyette's contributions were motivated by her argument with Jet Jaguar in which his perfectly valid points flew completely over her and any number of other people's heads.

Now that the WNBA has revealed some of the steps that they have taken, it is time for USA Basketball to step up and cover non-WNBA players and also men's overseas players. Since American players need to have their paperwork processed by USA Basketball to sign in any FIBA-sanctioned league, it is clearly the federation's responsibility to provide players with information and any other assistance. Fortunately on the women's side, the most dangerous countries tend not to have an organized women's league. These days there are still American men playing in places like Iraq and Libya and it would be nice for them to have resources before they go.

Woa! Someone actually understood the points I was trying to make? I got blocked by someone for that conversation and I wasn't disrespectful nor was what I was saying out of line. Where were you Andrew? It was lonely arguing against like 5 people by myself. Lol
