Hmmm...so it looks like Camille Little is actually the American playing on the Xinjiang squad and not CP. I just noticed that the transactions page (http://www.womensbasketball247.com/2016/08/2016-2017-wnba-overseas-signings/#more-3455) shows that both of them have signed with the team. However, Asia-Basket doesn't list Camille at all and I guess her stats are being improperly attributed to CP. Can there only be 1 American/foreigner on Chinese teams?

Does anyone know if Glory got picked up overseas and where she is headed?

Yep. Only one foreigner per team in China. And this is pretty common for that eurobasket/asiabasket/etc site to do that. Like in Greece for the first 4 games or so they listed this one girl named Lynn Kaiser on Olympiacos. When in fact it's Lynetta Kizer. That other girl I don't even think is playing anywhere right now. They finally corrected it. But that site is pretty unreliable. I always double check other sources before I use it.

Yeah, some people have the mistaken impression that the site is some kind of official service, but it's basically our site with full time staff attempting to make money on their site. RealGM has bulked up its men's overseas coverage and FIBA GameCenter has more leagues on the men's side, but unfortunately there are not really any better database-type sites on the women's side if that's what you are looking for.

My favorite is when they had a player who was out pregnant playing in a bunch of games.

I am assuming the divorce may change Candace Parker's plans so who knows when and if she may show up, which is probably a disappointment for Xinjiang since they probably would have tried to get more of a center for the position if they knew they needed a longer term fill-in. Some teams reach agreements with their start of season foreigner and their intended foreigner at the same time even though only one can be on the team at a time.

Looks like the Mystics are going to miss Meesseman for a while during the WNBA season..

Gotcha awhom111 and JetJaguar! Are there particular sites you would recommend if I wanted to look at international player stats over the years?

I definitely here you on CP, awhom11. We shall see.

Oh no, Messeman was injured? Man, I thought they were on break Confused Is it season ending, Michelle89?

Just wanted to throw this back out here: Does anyone know if Glory got picked up somewhere?

No injury but she won with Belgium (and Ann Wauters) against Belarus. So there is a really big chance that they are going to Eurobasket 2017 so that will mean that she will miss part of the wnba season

Mystery solved?

According to these tweets, Glo headed to China and it looks like she's replacing CP:

Based on a translation of this release on the team website and her not being on their roster page, it sounds like she's no longer on the team:
http://kosz.mkspolkowice.pl/news,577,Brittany-Boyd-nie-jest-juz-zawodniczką-CCC-Polkowice.html

It's light on details, but I feel like there would probably be a mention of an injury if that was a reason.

So you're saying Polkowice, a team in Euroleague as well, may be in need of another point guard. Hmmm. Interesting...

Apparently something interesting is happening with that team. Indeed, she did leave: http://kosz.mkspolkowice.pl/news,577,Brittany-Boyd-nie-jest-juz-zawodniczk%C4%85-CCC-Polkowice.html

It looks like she was paying well (10p, 5a, 6r) but the team wasn't (0-4) and they are on their 4th coach this season!!

http://www.fiba.com/europe/euroleaguewomen/2017/news/kovacik-handed-coaching-reins-at-ccc-polkowice

Shocked What on earth?

Btw, thank you so much for these updates awhom111!

Angel and Taurasi a few days ago:

Angel was truly flying in that second tweet pic and I was watching the game but still don't know why DT had to stick her leg up there like that! Laughing

It just looks like she was very off-balanced. Taurasi is known for being a dirty player, but I don't think she was trying to kick anybody here.

Agreed, I don't think she was. It was her first game of the season so I think she wanted some earn some style points! Laughing

Not that well. Those 10ppg was on 23%FG (8/34), and the team lost those three games by 19.3ppg having a 4-1 record before that. The coach issues are quite typical for CCC - the owner likes to have personal impact, but in that case I'd say it was the team who waived the player rather the other way round.
