I would have picked her, but I don't think she'll be available for the Sky.

Pilight, Jia was not protected.

Interesting. I can't imagine the Sky not picking her up.

Rolling Eyes I guess Trudi is still the GM after all.

Keegan had them with...

Tammy Sutton-Brown
Helen Darling
Janel McCarville
Jia Perkins
Tangela Smith
Sheri Sam

Who did they protect instead? Feaster? Mazzante?

My guess would be Feaster or Miller. Trudi seems to think highly of Feaster, even if she may not be playing next year.

I would protect Jia over Feaster, but I also wouldn't have cored Feaster.

It would be cool to see the process by which Chicago picked their players - watching them sift through teams, see who their priority players were, if they go for posts/experience/guards/defense/scoring first... Too bad we can't see these things.

Yeah, it's a shame for CHA to expose Perkins. However, it was clear that Muggsy Bogues marginalized Jia's importance to the team when he took over and clearly favored Sam, who put up very good numbers in the final month. Idea

CHI might not want Feaster, but I'm sure they could have traded her for a player or a pick. So, it's not like CHA could expose Allison with the expectation that CHI wouldn't pick up a veteran player recovering from pregnancy to play for them.

My toughest choice has been Houston so far...I am still thinking about this one and might change it later.

My toughest one was Indiana.

I just find it hard to believe that somehow Houston won't protect Hodges; she seems too good to give up.

Indiana I figured homecooking with Hoffman. Her playing for the Chicago Blaze factors into that idea.

If Mike T protects Wyckoff, I don't see anyone of real value being exposed to Chicago from CT.

Indiana is hard without knowing who was protected.

I thought Phoenix was tough too, Shereka with her midwest college ties, Angelina with the same plus blinding speed, or Gwen Jackson who some still think could be a really great player.

Houston is hard because it's a none of the above Rolling Eyes

How do we go change our answers Wink

I see most everybody picked Pierson to be picked by Chicago. If I am Chicago and I can choose between Farris and Pierson, I pick Farris. Especially if I can get Gwen Jackson from Phoenix.

Indiana was easy for me because I didn't take Ivey from Phoenix or Haynie from Sacramento, I needed a PG, so I immediately thought Yolanda Paige.

Houston, to me, is the least intriguing. They probably could have just not protected Janeth, as she may not be coming at all this year anyhow. No one will take her and the league can't punish you for not protecting a player that may not be here.

My decision came down to Keisha or Edwige. I honestly don't even remember which I picked!

Isn't Farris a UFA?

Isn't Farris a UFA? I would definitely try to sign her, that's no doubt.

I am more than not sold on Gwen Jackson. How will she return from her injury? Pierson started over her and played more minutes in Phoenix if I remember correctly.

Somehow, Chicago is going to need to get some offense. Perkins and Pierson are two good options for trying to get something going offensively.

Yes; I took Powell. I know the downside, but I still want the veteran PG. I can't see Williams being unprotected and I'm not sure who else on Phoenix Chicago would want.

So I put Belinda Snell!

Indiana was tough for me because I wasn't sure what Sacramento would do. If Haynie isn't available then the Sky will have to look seriously at Paige. If Haynie is there, it's questionable whether they will want to get a third PG (I think Loree Moore is a lock), especially if a big like Hoffman is the alternative.

I didn't think Phoenix was that tough. Gwen Jackson is alot better than Williams or Wright, IMO.

For me, I'm looking at who is going to be the scorer on my team. Most all of the players available are mainly role players when it comes to scoring. Plenette would help in that department, so I'd take her over Powell. Farris I'd try to pick up in Free Agency, but she might sign for less money to stay in Detroit... Confused

You are incorrectly assuming those were the only choices.

I don't believe Williams was protected, it's a chance we had to take hoping against hope they feel like pilight and will go Gwen Shocked but with her injury I doubt it.
I think they are looking at Shereka because of her versitility but I have them taking our Angel Crying or Very sad

I picked Williams because of the Illinois connection.

It is really interesting how our thoughts on what one team will do influenced our choices on other picks. I assumed that Sac valued Chelsea more than Kristin (so then Krit would be available for Chicago). I went back and forth between Ebony and Yolanda for Indiana, and ultimately went with Ebony.

Of course, I threw reason out the window with my Charlotte pick and put Janel down just because I want her on a different team.

I'm sure I can come in first in getting the least amount of picks right.

There are a couple of teams that I looked at and wanted to say "none of them". I think Chicago is going to pull some players from the shadows Like Jessica Moore and Erin Phillips. I would not be surprized if they pulled T-Spoon back for a season just to help with building "team" Heck I would pull all of the unprotected young stars to be and grab 2 "older" plyers who have been cut, to teach the youngin's. But then if I was any good at this I would not be in politics.

F_Blaze_Coalition might have some more comments on this, but T-Spoon with Chicago, whether in a coaching or playing capacity, might be the only way to get her back to Madison Square Garden next year.
