Ok, guys, show me who knows their stuff, I've put up a selection form, put in your picks for which player Chicago will select from each team, winner is the one that has the most players that are picked by Chicago in the draft, in case of a tie, the one with the earliest entry will be the winner.

It's nothing fancy, only one selection per user, change it as many times as you like, every time you hit the submit button, it will overwrite the old picks with your new picks, contest will be open until Midnight Eastern time Tuesday night.

link to the selection box:
http://boards.rebkell.net/challenge/draft.php

I've added a totals board, that shows the totals of the current draft picks, real time.

That was fun to play, Reb. If I were good at guessing, I would play the lottery more lol...thanks for that.

No problem, we've seen what seems like thousands of speculations, might as well have a contest Laughing

I guess my entry went in. The screen didn't change or say "entry accepted" or anything.

Hmmm... looking through that list makes me think: maybe instead of being the earliest entry, the tie-breaker should be the entry with the fewest spelling errors Wink

Jessica Moore was my stealth pick, since Keegan didn't even mention her in his protected list blog entry. Now everyone will pick her. Sad

I thought about her but I didn't pick her because I wasn't sure how that worked because didn't L.A. release her before the post season? I wasn't sure what she would be considered so I didn't list her.

LA didn't release her. She just wasn't on the playoff roster.

I think I clicked mine twice (expecting an "entry accepted" message)

It didn't hurt anything, it just submitted the same lineup twice, sorry it's not fancy, it's just a plain form, and it submits your lineup when you click on it. If you go back to the page, the form will be filled out with your picks

Yeah, that'll probably tip the scales, we'll have a JMo avalanche.... Chicago will probably go for her now, she probably wasn't even on their radar, I'm sure she's the talk of the office at Sky HQ ... Laughing

Well, I don't think they're going to go Italian and Dixon is a UFA, so that doesn't leave much.

Don't worry, pilight, I thought of her before I read through the thread. I don't think the Sky are going to go the Sol route and fleece teams out of international players.

Creativity runs high when trying to write a foreign player's name (mainly). Thank God the majority wrote Iziane Castro Marques. Shame on the rest for not even going to dot com to find out how to spell it correctly. Or do you think I know how to spell Cathrine Kraayeveld without any help???

Who missed the memo that La'Keshia Frett's a UFA? Or that Chelle Thompson is retiring (and I think also a UFA?)

It also looks like someone thinks Shereka is honoring another former Boilermaker by changing her last name to White.

I thought Charlotte might tempt Chicago by not protecting Sheri Sam, which would free up $70k+ this year and next year. But Charlotte protected Sam and exposed Jia Perkins. Ras is an unrestricted free agent.

can I go back and change my Charlotte pick now?

I will go on record as saying some of my picks would have been none; I will be surprised if Chicago takes more than 9 players.

Shoot, I didn't know that Raz was UFA... I guess I'd go with Jia, although I am shocked she's available. She was starting towards the end of the season. I guess they expect Feaster to be ready to go.

I'm also tempted to take Teanna Miller, but I think Jia is the right pick. Scoring.

I still don't see what would be the rationale for Chicago not to take all of the picks they can. Not any harm in picking them up and then making cuts after you see what else you can get.

I know Sacramento wants to trade picks for agreements not to take anyone, but who could Chicago get at 13 or 14 of a crappy draft that is better than Hainie or Newton? Or at 12 that is better than Hoffman?

They picked Iziane Castro Marques? Question I think it's unlikely that she'll be available... Dot com aside, they should have went to the Seattle Times article which supports my belief.. Idea And who picked Margo Dydek? Razz

Thibault cannot give up two draft picks for a player he would not protect, especially given Taj's age and CT's lack of depth in the post.
