Haven't heard of WNBA players participating in a Shooting Stars competition during this NBA All-Star weekend, as they did 2004-2015

The Shooting Stars competition has been scrapped. WNBA participation is limited to the celebrity game.

I find that interesting. If the NBA brass (Silver) and ESPN are both saying they are going to do more to promote the W now, why only limit the W players to a celebrity game and not a competition to showcase their skills?

Seems like NBA All Star is a good time to promote the individual skills of the players.
