I think Catchings steps up in this game, at home, and the Fever get the win.

1. Home court
2. Deeper bench
3. Still peaking
Fever takes next two.

I agree, unfortunately. Unless Cruz becomes a big scoring threat I don't see the Lynx winning the series.

Fever are expecting Game 3 to be a sell-out. Pacers, Lin Dunn have purchased 2,300 tickets for Game 3.
http://fever.wnba.com/news/lin-dunn-coach-frank-vogel-and-pacers-players-join-effort-to-secure-game-3-sellout/
I wonder for Game 4 if certain members of the Colts will do the same to get another sell-out. Again, the Colts are playing on Thursday night this week, so I see no reason why they can't get two sell-outs.
NOTE: In the Fever's two previous trips to the WNBA Finals('09 & '12), they sold-out 3 out of their 4 home games. Can't say the same for Minnesota and Phoenix.

Minnesota & Phoenix have great large home town crowds. MN has always attracted large crowds. I remember for game 1 & game 2 of the WNBA finals in 2011, there were 15,000 fans in attendance. In 2013, over 13,000 fans came for game 1 and 12,000 for game 2.
Last night there were over 12,000 fans and 1,000 of them got free tickets. a "sell out" is different for every city but MN fans show up.

Didn't Larry Bird or someone buy the entire balcony level in 2009? That helps a bit I'm sure. The cheapest tickets for Games 1 and 2 I found were $29 when looking at the Lynx website. Indiana has their cheapest tickets at $12.

Fever fans were lined up around the entire building to get their free tickets. It's gonna definitely be a sellout. But it's a finals game. Should be sold out without the help of Dunn and others buying tickets. Oh well.

What a short memory you have. Remember when the Fever were in the finals against the Mercury? That year there was a LOT of talk that the Fever would either fold or leave Indiana. Larry Bird bought a stack of tickets to give away. The combination of that and the fact that those Finals were quite possibly the most exciting Finals ever, saved the franchise. Why not replicate it again? It might bring new fans to the games.

Minnesota had NBA players and MLB players buy free tickets to give away for Game 1 and 2. How is this different?

The only difference is that Indiana will likely sell-out their games(18,000+). Minnesota didn't sell-out either Game 1(11,000) or 2(12,000+).

Game 2 was listed as a sellout...

No it wasn't. Game 2 drew 12,134. A full sell-out at the Target Center would be 19,356. Not even close. In fact, the Lynx's 2 games this year of the WNBA Finals have been their lowest. Also, the Lynx have never had a full sell-out. There attendances for every Finals game are:
2011:
Game 1: 15,258
Game 2: 15,124
2012:
Game 1: 14,322
Game 2: 13,478
2013:
Game 1: 13,804
Game 2: 12,313
2015:
Game 1: 11,023
Game 2: 12,134

Sell out is based upon number of sections open for sale. They sold everything they had open. They did not open any sections in the upper levels. Just lower bowl.

yes, there were sections opened up in the upper bowl for Game 1 & 2. It was very clear there were people up in the middle sections on each side in the upper bowl. Did you not watch the game?? the WNBA will sometimes say a game was sold-out when actually it was only a lower bowl sell-out. This happens frequently with Seattle & New York. However, the Fever will likely have a complete sell-out as they've opened up the entire upper bowl for sale. Minnesota did not have a complete sell-out, the Lynx have never accomplished this.

Of course they haven't. For the Lynx a sellout is the lower bowl. That is the aim. Everything else is overflow/bonus.
That is also why their lowest ticket was almost 2 and a half times as expensive as the lowest Fever one. And why they offer 1K tickets rather than 2300.
