that's an easy one Pierson.if you look at the market, there are so many options for guards.Pierson is streaky but has good up side.

I'll play devil's advocate. I don't think there's alot of PG available, unless you're targeting Grant at #6. You gotta figure Staley, Ticha, etc. are going to resign.

Or do you want a Jen Derevjanik/Jamie Carey type?

I think Pierson is the Sky's pick over POW-ell.
She's younger, (so far more stable) a board crasher and once she builds up some stamina she'll be fine. She should get real minutes in Chitown

We'll get guards somewhere else. ... IMO

Take Zara or Ivey for PG and draft Plenette! If she is the center of the offensive she can tear it up!

If Plennette is the center of the offense, Chicago is in trouble.

Depending on the other point guards available, I would take Powell.

DT? you think Ticha is resigning?? and Staley??

.. thought general consensus was there would be one more year for Staley... Heck and a few more for Ticha.

What am I missing?

I think he means resigning as in signing again, not resigning as in quitting.

Matty, who else is available who can score?
Without being privy to the lists, my guess is some three point shoooters, some bench post players, some decent bench PG's and Plenette Shocked

Depends on who's available from the other teams.

That having been said, Pierson is more likely. She's younger, and thus would fit into a long term strategy.

unless Haynie is left open, I don't see another PG to help a team develop, but I do see a Gwen Jackson, Shyra Ely, Kristen Mann type of 4 that also has upside.

I'd take Powell, one of those forwards, Newton or Haynie, Bernadette in the middle and go from there.

Dts,my philosophy for building an expansion team is to skew younger.get a good young nucleus together, thats how i would build a team.

you have grant yes,but there are many others. Yolanda Paige?,Derevjanik,Zara pg/combo guards for the last draft Dant,Dionnah Jackson,DeeDee Wheeler and others Toccara Williams,..

there are many guards out there..

Powell, I know she's had some past..umm..problems, but she does a lot for Detroit, she's a good point guard..and good point guards are hard to find.

Also, personally I wouldn't take Pierson.

Pierson for sure. Powell doesnt seem to be all that shes brought up to be. And I think Cowens could help Plenette with her post game.

I'd take the one I thought BL really wanted to keep, then trade her back to get Ruth Riley.

I don't think that's gonna happen b/c if that were the case, BL would just not protect Riley and protect the other player.

I'd sweeten the pot with another player I took from somebody else. I'd share the list and ask him who he wanted.

I think the correct spelling is actually with a hyphen, re-sign ...

Take Powell over Pierson any day. Powell is so versitile. She can play virtually every position, is incredibly smart, has a great attitude, and is a supreme athlete. Powell all the way, baby!
