Good skills like most Asian basketball players but can they handle the physicality of the WNBA?

miao lijie looks to have a little muscle, but both of 'em look like they need to bulk up, but quick. or, as you say, be able to handle the physicality.

It's also a mental thing. I don't they'll be used to getting mugged on every second play but they'll have to handle that in the WNBA.

What's the status of that Korean post Seattle drafted 2 years ago in the first round?

She was injured during last year's Olympics (as was most of their veterans apparently). I think she's back playing but I doubt there's room for her on the Storm roster (or even the WNBA). Chalk that one down to another of Anne's 'inspired' picks.

I remember going to a preseason game last year between the Chinese National Team and the Shock and I was impressed that the Chinese National Team actually made a game of it.

On the other hand, I noticed that some of the Chinese members of the audience began coming to Shock games after that game. See, the WNBA has that affect on people.

Nope. Yao's girlfriend is a 6'3" post by the name of Ye Li, who led the chinese in 3 point shooting % during the Olympics, and was second in rebounding to Sui. I think she's also one of the girls who the Chinese officials would let play over here. Her and Chen Nan, I believe.

I would post a picture, but I dan't know how to post pictures...sorry
