Riquna Williams, the 172nd player in WNBA history to score 1000 points! Bay Bay is 25 years, 36 days old. She is the 48th youngest to score 1000. She took 83 games to score 1000, tied with Vickie Johnson and Sheri Sam for 48th fastest ever. She is the 4th player from the class of 2012 to score 1000.
She would be the fastest to 2000 if she got there in her next seven games.

Not sure, but I have to believe she is the youngest to reach 1000 points with only 14 starts.

Just to give you an idea how screwed up the 2012 draft was, two of the four 1000 point scorers were second round picks. The #2 and #3 picks have not reached 1000. The only other draft class in which two of the first four 1000 point scorers were not first rounders was 2000, when two undrafted players (Sylvia Crawley and DeMya Walker) were among the first four.
NOTE: The 2010 and 2013+ drafts do not have four 1000 point scorers yet.

I also need a refresher to remind myself how bad the 2012 draft was. After the fifth pick, it was all downhill except for Hayes, Williams, Baugh & Kizer. Realistically, if we were to re-do the 2012 draft, it should have gone:
1. Los Angeles Sparks - N. Ogwumike
2. Seattle Storm - G. Johnson
3. Minnesota Lynx - R. Williams
4. Tulsa Shock - T. Hayes
5. San Antonio Stars - D. Peters
6. Phoenix Mercury - S. Johnson
7. New York Liberty - S. Stricklen
8. Washington Mystics - L. Kizer
9. Connecticut Sun - D. Dantas
10. Washington Mystics - V. Baugh
11. Indiana Fever - S. Goodlett
12. Minnesota Lynx - S. Carter
13. Los Angeles Sparks - F. Abdi

Not all that terrible. I'm not sure I'd put Kizer ahead of Dantas. I can tell you're not a Minnesota fan.
You also left out:
#20 Nika Baric - Jury's still out on her, but the Lynx own her rights.
#31 Jacki Gemelos - Originally a Lynx draft pick. Finally has a roster spot with the Sky.
#35 Briana Gilbreath - Originally a Mystics pick who has been in and out of the league but has shown flashes.

I would take Tip Hayes before R Williams and take Shenise Johnson before D Peters for sure. Dantas before Kizer in a heartbeat

3 for 3. I'm with you on all of those, though Hayes vs Williams is debateable.

You have to choose between a good 2 way guard that is a solid starter and all star material or a 6th player of the year kind of player
