I think that England will surprise some. I think that the United States will fall again--which is a bit pessimistic, but y'know.

Cool at Sinclair

Buchanan and Scott defense were impressive for Canada. China overall defense were better than ours. Canada gotta move the ball better to score.

Woop - so excited about Australia making it through despite most predictions. Looks dicey for Sweden in 3rd which is sad that an already tough competitive group's 3rd placed team will find it hard to have the points/goal difference over some (on paper) weaker groups. Especially having not lost a game - that's got to hurt.

Cameroon have been great and totally deserve their spot through.

Sweden will be hoping for draws in group E but my eyes will be on group F to see who gets through given the Columbia France upset.

How does the FIFA point system go?

Is it...
A win...3 points
A loss...no points
A tie...1 point?

Please correct me if it's not true.

IIRC, the Olympics' point system is a bit different, where even just participating in a game (regardless of the outcome), you get points! Rolling Eyes

I don't know about prior tournaments, but at the 2012 Olympics teams weren't given a point just for playing. It was the same point system as you listed above 3 for a win, 1 for a tie and 0 for a loss.

Good to see England and France getting it together in their final games, but Columbia also deserve their spot. Also glad Sweden scraped through.
