Laughing I saw that and was wondering what I might have missed. Guess I didn't miss anything. Really a pathetic display by the WNBA.

Great find by Pilight at least.

[If the Sparks are going to compete with Candace Parker and Toliver out, Nneka Ogwumike will need to take another step in her third season in the league. The 2013 WNBA Rookie of the Year averaged 14.6 points per game in 2013 and 15.8 in 2014.]

Got an email from a journalist who works at ESPN today. Asked me we've put together a "comprehensive list of everything that is wrong, that is missing, and doesn't work on the main site and the accompanying team sites" and wanted to know what I'd seen that she might have missed.

You hear anything else from your correspondent? If they haven't met w/ the Commish yet, one thing that has not improved in terms of the website is what is on the first page of search results for "wnba" on both google & bing. On the first page you get links to other sites (eg espn/wikipedia) or taken to broken links (eg http://www.wnba.com/archive/wnba/players/Team_Rosters.html) or the W's twitter feed. The league site doesn't show up on the first page. [granted what each of us sees first changes based on our previous searches] It takes too many clicks to get to the league site now. That wasn't the case prior to the redesign switch.

I know she hasn't signed yet, but I find it annoying that Candace Parker has disappeared. Ditto Big Syl. Yeah, I know you can type it in if you know how/where to do it, but that is absurd.

Is anyone else having this problem? I used to be able to Google players names and the first result would almost only be their .com player page. Now, the Google search seems to not return the .com player page at all.

The blocks against columns in boxscores are not totalling properly

Note that it shows her stats from yesterday's preseason game.

Did a search for a playerfile and found from the result I got that they appear to have the old site at http://wnba.co as well:

Are there game recaps somewhere? I mean an actual game story? When I click on the game story for the NY game I get the game preview.

Now I get search results that direct me to an "archive" directory on wnba.com, but, at least for this playerfile, it doesn't work right.

http://www.wnba.com/archive/wnba/playerfile/riquna_williams/index.html

I have to wonder if the WNBA got word that people were complaining about their website, and it was left off that it was about accuracy or timeliness of content or lack of content (like player transactions). So instead of just having more diligence on updating the data on the website, they thought "well, if they don't like the website, then let's pay for a re-design".

The box score still is too big to fit the page so you can't see points and totals.

Unless you know where to find LiveAccess, how would you ever find it? You have to know to go to Video and scroll to the very bottom to click through. You can't jump to LiveAccess from Game information, which is how you could do it before.

Supposedly, the League knew there were problems with the site and were working to fix them. Has anything been fixed? I don't see improvement.

I've completely switched to just using the origin.wnba.com one. Not going anywhere near the new train wreck any more. Which probably wasn't the effect they were going for with the redesign...

On Facebook, the WNBA reported a score of 101-9 versus 101-93 and never bothered with a correction.

I need help! I can currently use only my android tablet and iphone. I cannot see boxscores at all on either device on wnba.com (not even those screwed up without scores as I could see on my laptop). Not in the ribbon, not in schedule (dont see that either), not even in the updated center court app (there is no game info whatsoever). I can get to the boxscores through the origin page (thank you for the tip!) but I dont want to be stuck wih that all season. Is anybody experiencing something similar? Any advice on what to do/allow/install?
also all games on live access are currently unavailable to me. That might have something to do with the fact that I am currently in Turkey and have very crappy connection. Last season, when I watched games at home (Czech Republic) the Espn black outs were available the next day . Any advice on that?

Thank you in advance if anybody is able to help.

If you just need boxscores, I've been supplying ESPN boxscores with every gamethread.

If you insist on wnba.com boxscores, you'll probably just have to wait until they clear out all their bugs from the conversion, or use your "original" system.

Try this one:

http://www.wnba.com/player/elena-delle-donne/ Click on game logs. OMG!!! In her first game she's 13-24 from two; 13-24 from three; and 13-24 from the free throw line. In her second game she's 11-20 in all three categories.

This is just so fucked up it's losing it's funny factor.

That would be an eFG% of 81.82%, and a FTr and 3PAr of 1. EDD has been studying her analytics!

Delle Donne also leads all rookies and all sophomores in scoring...

well, give them some credit. I sent them an email, and this problem (which was for all players not just EDD) has been fixed.

I tried to be supportive. Tried to look at the positives of the new site but damn...Why does everything have to be so big? Its like they're visually shouting and their viewers.

I looked at the standings the other day, and New York was 0-3. I thought it might be the preseason standings, but the drop-down menu said "2015 Season". It also looked like every team had played 3 games, and I know several played only one or two preseason games. The page was subsequently fixed, but it's just another example of the weirdness.

Also, in those game info/box scores, the blocks against (BA) continue to add incorrectly. For the road team, they're realistic looking but wrong. For the home team, it's just wacky -- usually double digits.

While we are at it, on the center court app, the totals are not included at the bottom of the boxscores like they were last year. They're on the main game page, and you have to go back and forth and do some scrolling if you want to see totals. When I am at the game this is kind of an annoyance. I like checking on other games too and don't want to be fumbling around with the phone when also trying to focus on the game.

Holy Christ, the dot com for the WNBA and individual teams are a giant clusterfuck.

Just to get a box score for a game is quite the journey.

It is quicker to go to espn or yahoo to find information.

It would be a stretch to be any more disappointed with the web site redesign.

It's an absolute fucking nonsense that a week into the regular season they could massively improve their website(s) by simply reverting to their old one. It's an absolute joke.
