Just for the sake of accuracy, it's Georgia Jones, not Georgia James on the GB squad. Same name as a porn star, which leaves her complaining about some of the people that tweet at her on occasion . |

I didn't know Quigley was "Hungarian" -- that could hurt Chicago.

She competed for Hungary in EuroBasket - Qualification Round 2013 so she has been "Hungarian" since at least 2013.

There's plenty of Hungarians in Chicago.

The reason why I ask is I haven't seen any sign of Nika Baric in camp, and nobody seems to be talking about it. The signing of of two guard invites late in the game could be a sign Baric's not coming, but who knows.

Glad to see Bravo-Harriet is contributing to Great Britain's team, even at her young age.
She has been a major asset at Toledo, even as a freshman.
Wonder if Coach Cullop is developing a reputation for helping to mold these young players, American and international? Definitely a plus for certain recruiting should that be the case.

Spain's overall talent level is so far beyond the rest of the continent, particularly at guard, that it's not even a competition.
Who doesn't think they win this tournament? Anyone? Anyone at all? Bueller?

Turkey and France have a shot against them.

Serbia just beat France, but got beaten by the Brits.
Does this mean that the Brits have a shot of beating Spain? Kind of like Arizona had a shot at beating UConn after beating Stanford?

They're warm-up games. Teams are trying things out, using strange rotations, and generally don't care that much. Don't pay too much attention to the results.
And yeah, Spain might be favourites, but there are plenty of teams capable of beating them in a one-off game. There's far more parity and depth in the European region than elsewhere. |

France or you can say Dumerc have/has a habit of playing good in big games

I know, Serbia rested several of their players against the mighty Brits.
I'm not expecting great things from the Brits, but an upset from them would b e nice. Maybe the Brits will knock out the Russians.
Or maybe the Brits will shock us all and beat Spain in the knockout round.

All of those sound good to me .
Realistically, if we make it past the first group stage, it has to be considered a success. Especially with Leedham taking the summer off again. |
