"A pastor performing a baptism was electrocuted inside his church Sunday morning after adjusting a nearby microphone while standing in water, a church employee said.

The Rev. Kyle Lake, 33, was stepping into the baptistery as he reached out for the microphone, which produced an electric shock, said University Baptist Church community pastor Ben Dudley."

LOL!

I'm just waiting from a conservative tabloid to print a story about how he performed a gay wedding ceremony the day before.

This is a free for all thread I take it, I read this about the man that really made it all possible Wink

Tesla was born at the stroke of midnight during a lightning storm in Smiljan near Gospić, Lika, Croatiav

How could he fail with a start like that.

i wish this wouldn't be a free for all thread.

my brother knew him pretty well. i guess he was a great guy (and a really wonderful, smart, open-minded pastor as well). he had a wife and young kids.

i know no one posting meant anything other than harmless fun.

of course we didn't. i am sorry for your brother's loss and for the man's family. for my part, it's the atheist in me that sometimes can't resist any opportunity to point out "religious" irony...

I'm sorry to hear that.
Thanks for understanding that we didn't mean any harm.

yeah, really, don't worry about it... i'm not trying to throw everyone on a guilt trip. i snickered myself a little when i saw the headline, but then went over to my brother's last night, and the whole thing got a lot less funny.

probably i shoulda just kept it to myself.

People are regularly fooling around with electrical equipment while standing waist high in water? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
