I'm sure this has been done on here before at some point, but I thought it might be fun to pick an NBA equivalent to a WNBA player. I know some people don't like to compare men's basketball to women's, but I don't see a problem with comparing players with similar styles and/or skill sets. Obviously everyone is their own unique player and there are no exact matches. But there are players that are similar or remind you of one in the NBA. I'll start out with a few:
Elena Delle Donne = Kevin Durant
Sylvia Fowles = Dwight Howard
Odyssey Sims = Russell Westbrook
Ivory Latta = Kyrie Irving

You sure that's a compliment?
I would say maybe James Harden.

My comp for EDD is Dirk Nowitzki, but Durant works too.
As for Sims and Westbrook, Westbrook is the best athlete in the NBA (from all reports), which is a pretty amazing statement. I don't think Sims is close to being the best athlete in the WNBA ...

Yeah - Angel might be a better comp for Westbrook.

Bria Hartley = Manu Ginobili
creative, ballsy and streaky.

See I think 2 past players more than Dirk for EDD...Glen Rice Sr. and Keith Van Horn. As in a 3 the size of a 5 who operates mostly from the corners and is deadly accurate...that worked for Rice...Van Horn couldn't adjust on D.
If you insist on current, I'd say Genobli (tho the younger version) size vs ability to hit long shots which causes a matchup nightmare...but she doesn't get low...dirk has done more down low as he's progressed.
Augustus especially earlier in her career is who reminds me of Durant. Slasher with some range, racks up points but also knows it's a team game.
Others:
Griner - Inactive, Kareem...no doubt, some say wilt but wilt was much more of a traditional center than Kareem or Griner who were more hybrid thanks to their lankiness. Active I'm gonna get blasted but heat me out...Griffin. Now she's 500x more dominant than Griffin can be in his wildest dreams...but this is on the fact that most of her aura and fear as a player is based off one element of her game...she has more than that of course but the dunk overhype works in her favor similar to Griffin...that they're so afraid of the dunk that they ignore the rest of them.
Pondexter: For the longest time I compared her to Melo on both slight overrating and selfish attitude. Now I compare her to wade, as her decline in skills has made her mature and become a team player...the question is is that enough to be a good contributor or not for both of them.
Brunson: Tim Duncan...on the court, in the heat of battle they're both silent killers from the 4. Someone who can lurk and then go off for 20 when you forget about them and wheel off to someone else.
VanDerSloot: Jeremy Lin. Was SO overrated in the beginning that they became underrated when their cracks showed...but a quality, dangerous and accurate distributing PG...Sloot is better than Lin but I see interesting parallels with them starting overhyped...to the point their game as it develops becomes ignored.
Sims: Lillard, Less of a name, overshadowed by names who the are better than and can flat out light it up.

I was also considering Derrick Rose for Sims. Also a great athlete. Also Tony Parker came to mind, only because their teardrop floaters are almost identical. But I think Sims game style is more like Westbrook's.

I'm sure you've heard this comparison before, but I think Duncan's game is most similar to Candice Dupree's. Not flashy, just very fundamentally sound.

Rose and Parker are very good comparisons for Sims. What O compares to Westbrook in, is their court demeanor. She's a pit bull and her goal is to outplay you, out defend you, out everything you on the court. Westbrook is the same but I'd say he reminds me of Angel McCoughtry so much more.
Rose and Sims are so explosive though. I think I like that comparison better.

He also compared Nikki Teasley to Magic Johnson. How did that turn out?

Yeah, the defending champs had a much tougher time the second go-round but they did pull it out. Magic started a dynasty for the Lakers. Teasley ended one for the Sparks.
