Thanks for posting this info.

I'll definitely be following the Bendigo Spirit, Kelsey Griffin is playing for them this year.

Louella Tomlinson also played college ball in the US, at St Mary's. She briefly held the NCAA record for blocked shots.

Let's Go West Coast!

If Teegan Cunningham is the same as Tegan Cunningham, she also played college ball in the USA at Oklahoma State.

WNBL has their Spring Shield preseason weekend this weekend. All 8 teams play three preseason games Fri-Sat-Sun vs the other teams.
The regular season opens next weekend.

Louella scored 15 points and 8 rebounds in 18 minutes of play. It seems she had 4 fouls, thus the limited playtime.

The Waves were 1-23 last year. They actually were 1-0 and lost their last 23 games. They have 4 new starters on this years team, Tomlinson, Lindsey Moore/Neb/Lynx, Harberts/USC, and Graham/Logan(now defunct team in WNBL). They played Dandegong last night and won 93-64. Cappie didn't play for Dandedong, and one other Opals player wasn't dressed.

I will be taking a vacation to Australia in a few weeks and will catch a couple of the Waves games.
Go Waves

Good stuff, Spongebob. I appreciate it.

How often are WNBL games streamed online? Some domestic leagues seem to be better about this than others.

The first link that Sponge provided, for the Saturday afternoon games in Australia, I dont think it allows you to watch if you are outside of Oz......boo!!

Last season one team, Bendigo, put many of their games on You tube. I dont believe they were live streamed, but posted the next day.

I know one other team, the West Coast Waves will try and do something similar, but dont know if it actually will happen. If I see any team that does do it I will, post it in this topic.

The following link will take you to a page that you can link to both results and live stats for this weekends games.

http://www.wnbl.com.au/index.php?id=81&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=5186&tx_ttnews[backPid]=1&cHash=4be782d7a2

By the way Sponge, for Sydney, Kate Oliver, played at USC last season.

Australia WNBL now has three USC allums, Kate Oliver - 2014, Heather Oliver - 2010 and Cassie Harberts - 2014

Only like one game a week, but teams are putting games on Youtube.

Edit: Added player updates and Bendigo Spirit Youtube Channel for games.

Excellent! Thanks for the effort. I'm looking forward to keeping track of a foreign league this year. (I hope....NCAA gets crazy-busy, but I'm going to try!)

If you can list who and what/where they did/went to, I'd be more than happy to.

Not too familiar otherwise, sorry.

So from what I saw the season ends in February? Is that right? If so, even with playoffs and whatever there would be time for Cappie to have ample rest before the season.

If SEA didn't grab her last year, I'm not sure who would.

Regular season ends by the end of February, everything is completely over by second week of March I believe.

Congrats to the West Coast Waves who took out the Spring Shield pre-season tournament today.

Regular season game starts this coming week.

For Bendigo Spirit supporters, Kristi Harrower to determine if she'll play on after this weeks training sessions.
